Gov. Ned Lamont has officially signed HB 8004 into law, an important step toward strengthening children’s behavioral-health access across Connecticut. The bill reflects the work of the Transforming Children’s Behavioral Health Policy & Planning Committee, the statewide group charged with identifying gaps, improving crisis response, and ensuring families can get timely, appropriate care.
Michael Patota, President & CEO of CFGC, serves on this committee and has helped bring the real-world needs of children and families directly into the policymaking process. HB 8004 moves Connecticut closer to a system where every child, in every community, can access the behavioral-health support they deserve.
Thank you for the leadership of TCB Tri-Chairs State Senator Ceci Maher, Deputy Majority Leader Tammy Exum, and Senior Policy Advisor to the Secretary, OPM, Claudio Gualtieri.
