Has your child been exposed to COVID and you are not sure what the next step is? Call us at 304-330-5179 to schedule a telephone or video visit with one of our providers. UHC continues to have drive- through testing behind the hospital that we can place an order for.
We are not ordering or providing rapid testing at this time due to reliability of testing and high percentage of a false negative. Test turn around is currently 2-5 days with results usually closer to 2 days.

With the recent increase in cold and influenza activity, it is important that you recognize what is safe and what is not safe to give your child for his or her symptoms. There are very few over the counter cough medicines that are safe for children, despite what the manufacturer might advertise. More importantly, there are no safe prescription cough suppressants in children less than 12. Even so, they are sometimes still prescribed. If you have questions about the medications that are safe to give for your child’s cough, be sure you call your primary provider first.

Cold medicines aren't recommended for young children. Here's why.

As cough, cold, and flu season approaches we urge everyone to get caught up on vaccines! Just these two shots can save many newborns and young children every year. Form a protective cocoon around those little babies until they can be vaccinated themselves.

Protect your baby by making sure everyone around them is vaccinated and protected, especially with a dose of Tdap and the flu vaccine.
