Jin Shin Jyutsu Physio-Philospophy is an Art & a philosophy based on ancient principles for harmonizing life energy in the body. Through its sequences of gentle touch on specific areas, called Safety Energy Locks, it can help to balance body, mind, and spirit. Appropriate for people of all ages and states of health, it can be applied by a practitioner or used as self-help. Many clinics now teach and provide Jin Shin Jyutsu as complementary care, including the UKY Markey Cancer Center and Morristown, NJ Memorial Hospital. Jin shin Jyutsu is an excellent means to deal with stress, chronic or more recent health disharmonies, as well as health and energy maintenance. This effective approach to holistic healing can be used along with preventative practices and other complimentary and alternative health treatments to speed the healing process, reduce the effects of stress and balance energy flow. A typical Jin Shin Jyutsu session takes about 45-60 minutes and begins with the client fully clothed, lying on their back on a massage table. After listening to the client’s energetic pulses, the practitioner gently places her fingertips/ hands on various combinations of 26 energy locks on the client’s body. The spleen flow anchor step, also a "quickie" hold to help you LET GO and harmonize worry. Sit in a comfortable location. Place your right hand on your right Safety Energy Lock 25 (on the right side of your bum closer to coccyx) and your left hand on left Safety Energy Lock 5, the dent found between the achilles and ankle bone on the inside of your foot. Hold gentle pressure while exhaling and inhaling deeply. Drop the shoulders. Just BE in the moment. Let go and appreciate what is.
This is a powerful hold and OK to do daily. Both SELs are about letting go of the old and regeneration. What a gift... thank you Mary Burmeister.
