Unfortunately all the latest good data coming in continues to indicate that most of our region will see a rather Significant Winter Storm as we go through the day on Wednesday. At this time a significant amount of Snow, Sleet and some freezing rain can be expected.

The storm should be Mostly Snow for much of our Northern Viewing Region, a Snow/Sleet Mix somewhere Very Near the I-44 Corridor and the Potential for a Combo with some Freezing Rain mixing in further south.

Therefore, we are now issuing a SNOW DAY WARNING as we can no longer advise travel if it can be avoided in any way possible going through the day on Wednesday. Given the anticipated deteriorating road conditions, much of our region appears likely to see Widespread School Closures or an AMI Day on Wednesday. This Warning now replaces the previously issued Snow Day Advisory. The Snow Day Watch remains in effect for Thursday as well given some area roads may still not be in good enough shape by then.

As stated earlier, we will release our Winter Storm Total Map later tonight. We will outline timing, totals and details at that time!! We are opting to wait for one last data suite (18z) to roll in for one last analysis before releasing the map to ensure everything continues to stay the course as it appears now.
