Walter K. Vohland, loving husband, father, and grandfather, 61, of Upper Deerfield Township died unexpectedly Tuesday morning September 2, 2025 at his home.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services at the Freitag Funeral Home, 137 W. Commerce St. in Bridgeton on Thursday September 11th at 11 o’clock.

Friends will be received at the funeral home from 9 until 11 on Thursday morning prior to the funeral service. The burial will take place in the family cemetery lot at Overlook Cemetery in Bridgeton.

Michael J. Mooney, 52, of Bridgeton passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday morning September 2, 2025.

Private graveside services will be held for family members at Laurel Lawn Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Township.

Tadashi “Tad” Ohara, age 91, peacefully passed away on Sunday morning September 1, 2025. Tad was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose kindness, generosity, and quiet strength touched the lives of all who knew him. His warm presence and unwavering support will be deeply missed.

A memorial service to celebrate Tad’s life will be held on Wednesday morning September 10th at 11 o’clock at the Freitag Funeral Home, 137 W. Commerce Street in Bridgeton and will be followed by military honors.

Friends will be received at the funeral home Wednesday morning from 10 until 11.
A Celebration of Life will follow immediately after the service.

In accordance with Tad’s wishes, his burial will be private.

Tad’s legacy of love, kindness, and resilience will forever be etched in the hearts of his family and friends. Though he is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the countless lives he touched.

Betsy A. Smith (nee Sharp), 94, of Hopewell Township passed away on Monday morning August 25, 2025 in the emergency room at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. Although in failing health, her death was unexpected.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend graveside funeral services at Fernwood Memorial Park, Shiloh Pike, Route 40 in Hopewell Township on Thursday morning August 28th at 11 o’clock.

Rev. Walter Kellen of the Friendship Finley United Methodist Church will officiate.

Russell K. “Buckles” Ford, of Hopewell Township died Saturday morning August 23, 2025 as a result of injuries in a motorcycle accident in Hopewell Township. He was 57 years old.

At Nancy’s request, a private graveside burial will take place at the Deerfield Presbyterian Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Township.
