Earlier today, we responded alongside multiple agencies to a Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) in Clairton, at the request of SouthEast Regional EMS, with two ambulances and a supervisor. Our team, both on-duty and off-duty, responded swiftly to assist those affected, while also ensuring that routine operations in our service area remained uninterrupted.

We are grateful for the coordinated efforts of all responding agencies and proud of the professionalism and dedication shown in such a critical time.

We extend our deepest sympathies to everyone impacted by this tragic event.

Last week, we were excited to kick off a new quarterly training initiative for our team! With the extreme heat we've already experienced, Training Coordinator Becky Hall kicked us off with Fire Rehab and a Mass Casualty Incident review. Crews were also introduced to the EMTrack system, a tool that facilitates patient tracking from an initial encounter through the health care system.

We are heartbroken by the senseless and tragic loss of two firefighters in Idaho this week. We honor their sacrifice and stand with their families, department, and the entire firefighting community during this time of unimaginable sorrow.

We extend our thoughts to those who were injured in this horrific act. You’re in the hearts of first responders everywhere.

Sadly, we must also send our deepest condolences to our EMS brothers and sisters at Cranberry Township EMS as they mourn the loss of one of their own.

May we never forget those we’ve lost.

🔥 Cooling Centers Available Due to Extreme Heat 🔥

With the extreme heat this week, cooling centers will be available through Wednesday, June 25th from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the following fire station locations:

📍 Cecil Fire Department – 3351 Millers Run Road, Cecil, PA
📍 Lawrence Station – 428 Georgetown Road, Lawrence, PA
📍 Muse Station – 186 Muse Bishop Road, Muse, PA

If you need to access a cooling center, please call the number posted on the door at each location. If no one is present, call 724-745-2227 ext.106 and we will coordinate access for you.

Please stay hydrated and safe. Check on elderly neighbors and those without air conditioning. Let’s look out for one another!
