Angel Bonanno is a Mental Health Technician at GenPsych, currently working at the Avenel location and previously at the Wayne location. Angel holds a master’s degree in social work and is currently pursuing licensure as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW). Prior to joining GenPsych, Angel gained valuable experience in substance use treatment, which strengthened clinical skills and reinforced the importance of compassionate, client-centered care.

Angel has truly enjoyed and values time at GenPsych, appreciating the supportive environment and opportunities for continued professional growth. Angel is especially passionate about working with children and adolescents and is committed to guiding and supporting them toward positive and effective paths.

Outside of work, Angel enjoys going to the movies, spending time with their cat, Willow, going on walks, and has a strong love for Broadway. Angel also enjoys listening to music, finding it both relaxing and inspiring. These interests help maintain balance and allow Angel to bring focus, empathy, and dedication to their work each day.

At GenPsych PC, we understand that scheduling with our teens can often be the biggest barrier to getting support. That’s why we offer flexible Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) options designed to fit into teens’ academic and family routines.

In addition to our morning IOP and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), we’re helping close the gap with our After-School Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program, providing timely, structured, in-person care for teens ages 13–17—without disrupting their school day.

Our After-School Adolescent IOP offers:

What teens gain through our After-School IOP:
- Evidence-based therapy, including CBT, DBT, and ACT

Brenda Gadson, LAC, is a proud member of GenPsych and grateful for the recognition she has received. She earned a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in Health Education, providing her with a strong foundation in mental health care. She holds a certification in addictions counseling and is actively working toward her LCADC as she completes her clinical hours. Brenda is currently practicing as a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) and is on track to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in April 2026.

She is committed to helping individuals of all ages enhance their lives through goal-directed persistence and meaningful personal growth. She values people above all else and thrives in collaborative, compassionate environments. Her work is guided by empathy, respect, and a deep belief in human resilience.

Outside of her professional role, she enjoys reading, traveling, and continuous learning. She finds the greatest joy in witnessing clients’ progress, building strong therapeutic relationships, and gaining insight from the powerful experiences they bring to the therapeutic space.

Brenda’s dedication and passion for helping others make her an invaluable member of a strong team of leaders and colleagues.
