On July 23, members of ESMA staff participated in three Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) events in Worcester, Boston, and Washington, DC. At Out to Lunch, Worcester staff had a table showcasing ESMA programs and engaged members of the public by having them write down why they think it is important to . Staff also led a group demonstration showcasing our Accessible Martial Arts Program.

In Boston, ESMA staff and members of the group marched and rolled from City Hall to the Embrace Memorial to highlight the importance of the ADA and that disability rights are worth fighting for. Notable moments included the flag raising and the reading of the proclamation to promote accessibility for individuals with disabilities.

In Washington, DC, ESMA staff and members presented the program to attendees of the National Council on Independent Living Conference. They also participated in the Conference’s empowering ADA35 March & Rally earlier in the week at the U.S. Capitol.
