We also strive to educate you on pet nutrition, flea and tick control, dental care, behavior modification and more. We feel so strongly about your pets, that we offer prospective owners a complimentary consultation and scheduled tour of the hospital facility to further educate them on the responsibilities of pet ownership. We were thrilled to welcome some adorable adoptable kitties from Old Bridge Animal Shelter for their spay and neuter procedures here at BVH!

A big shoutout to Dr. Feeney and her amazing surgical team, Meghan and Kaila for their expert care and compassion 💙 Every surgery today brings us one step closer to reducing pet overpopulation and giving these sweet cats a better chance at forever homes.

Did you know spaying and neutering are not only good for your pet's physical health, but their emotional health as well? Spaying and neutering decrease hormone-driven behaviors, resulting in a calmer, happier, more emotionally and socially stable pet. If your pet is already displaying some of these less-desirable behaviors, additional training may be necessary to help them learn new and more appropriate behavior (although we believe more training is always a good idea!)

Today was Flannel Day at the hospital, and we ended our incredible Spirit Week on a cozy, creative, and sweet note!

🍝 A delicious Italian pasta lunch
🎨 Painted succulent pots during our afternoon activity
🎊 Finished the day with a candy-filled piñata smash (plus cookies for dessert!)

Veterinary Staff Appreciation Week - Spirit Day Recap 💗💜

This week, we celebrated Veterinary Staff Appreciation Week with a special Spirit Day dedicated not only to honoring our amazing team but also to raising awareness for Breast Cancer and Domestic Violence.

💗 Pink and Purple Day: Our staff wore pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness and purple in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness. It was a powerful display of unity and compassion.

✨ We gave special recognition to Dr. Kim Ritter, a breast cancer survivor whose strength and resilience continue to inspire us every day.

💜 We also paid tribute to Dr. Lauren Semanchik, who tragically lost her life to domestic violence. Her memory lives on in our hearts, and we honor her and her family by proudly wearing purple in her name. Not all wounds are visible.

To keep the energy up, we celebrated our incredible team with:
🥪 Sandwich lunch
🛒 Snack cart deliveries every hour on the hour – because no one should have to fight off being hangry!
