Interesting findings!
➡️“Resuscitation Outcomes Consortium data have shown 6% fewer women than men who suffer a witnessed out-of-hospital cardiac arrest get CPR, which other studies have confirmed.

Bystanders have reported hesitation to perform CPR on women. Fears of personal violation, breasts interfering with CPR, and causing physical injury manifest as doubt in removing clothing and placing hands properly, the researchers noted.”

As instructors, it is our duty to also do better to allay these issues and fears!

Wrapped up a great October with 22 BLS new and renewal certification from the JMU Nursing program. Four groups of strong students with great potential made for awesome classes!
