🚨 Structure Fire – 4300 Block of Atlantic Brigantine Blvd 🚨

At approximately just after 10:00 am, Brigantine Fire and EMS Department units were dispatched to a possible structure fire in the area of 4600 Atlantic Brigantine Blvd. Personnel were already operating at another alarm, which was a cooking incident with no damage. Incident Command (IC-1) quickly broke from the initial call and responded.

Upon arrival at the corrected address — 4316 Atlantic Brigantine Blvd — IC-1 found flames on the exterior of the building which were quickly extinguished.

Firefighters from E-1 and T-1 forced entry into the home, stretched lines to both the interior and exterior, and conducted a primary search — confirming no one was inside. Crews worked to check for fire extension into the attic and soffit area, securing the building’s power and gas services in the process.

Atlantic City Electric responded to cut power at the pole. The scene was later turned over to the homeowner with guidance on next steps.

No injuries were reported. Brigantine Fire Department thanks the alert bystanders whose quick actions helped limit damage, as well as Brigantine Police and Atlantic City Fire for their assistance.

🚨 Dive Team Assist 🚨

Earlier today, the Brigantine Dive Team responded to a request from the U.S. Coast Guard to help recover a small boat anchor that was lost during a weekend training exercise behind Harrah’s Casino in Atlantic City. The anchor had become lodged in an underwater obstruction, forcing the crew to cut it loose and mark the spot with a buoy for later retrieval.

In 20 feet of water with zero visibility, A/LT Cooker successfully located and freed the anchor, which was then lifted back aboard the Coast Guard vessel.

These recovery operations provide excellent real-world training opportunities for our divers in controlled, non-emergency situations. They also strengthen teamwork and reinforce our strong working relationship with neighboring federal partners. Great work by all involved! 👏🌊⚓️

🚒💧 If you see the Brigantine Fire Department out working on fire hydrants, here’s what we’re up to:

We’re in the process of retrofitting all of the City’s nearly 500 fire hydrants with universal, threadless Storz adapters. Brigantine’s hydrants have a unique thread pattern, which means special adapters have always been needed to connect supply lines — until now.

This upgrade will significantly reduce the time it takes to connect to a water supply during an emergency and will also allow mutual aid departments to hook up without any special equipment.

Faster connections = faster response = safer community. 👨‍🚒🔥💪

🚒🔥 The Brigantine Fire Department had a blast being part of Brigantine Community School’s annual Field Day!

Our team set up and manned a fun, fire department–themed obstacle course for the students to enjoy. It was great to see the kids race through the challenge like future firefighters—full of energy, teamwork, and big smiles!

Thanks to BCS for including us in such a great day. We’re always proud to be part of this amazing community! 👨‍🚒👩‍🚒
