came to me a few months back to get some "fluff off" and to feel better in her skin. It's hard to figure things out when you're a mom with a full-time job, the list is endless of responsibilities. I can relate, let me help you!

After seeing Melissa's logged foods I realized that she actually ate pretty well, so I wasn't worried about a teeny change in that area. What I did was got her blood panel taken, made her a solid meal plan, added some gym time, stress management, walking, and the rest was history. After she wanted to go a little harder on her goals, I then taught her a about carb timing as to not throw everything at her at once. We didn't cut the carbs, just used them when her body would utilize the fuel. We took baby steps to get her where she needed to be.

Your liver will detox itself if you allow it to. It will also hold on to more carbs than you could imagine, causing insulin resistance and an array of problems if you allow it to. With giving your body the tools necessary with a little bit of knowledge you can help your natural biology set in and use the energy it needs to get the work done.

This young lady is just starting out with her meal plan, no more under eating 🙌 It’s a work in progress because it’s just how we are, always thinking we’re eating enough or the right foods! Especially with teens, learning these habits now will immensely impact her 20’s, 30’s, and 40’s with her menstrual cycle, neurological stressors, and give her a fighting chance at a longer, healthier, happier life with whatever future she decides. Not to mention she’s getting her form down to a T and stronger every week 🥰 I just adore this age!

If this “people pleasing” is a soft spot for you, it's time to reconsider and change your ways!

Not only is this bad for your mental health, trying to make everyone else around you happy, but YOU leave YOURSELF no extra time for your own selfcare inside and out.
Mentally exhausted and walking on eggshells constantly is horrible right? Yes, it leads to a build up of OXIDATIVE STRESS and complications with your immune system. YOU’RE literally making yourself sick ➡️ Here, you have too many free radicals running around in your body with not enough healthy cells to fight for you!
Here's what to do
⬇️

☑️LEARN to say no! (They will get over it, if they don't drop them, move on it wasn’t meant to be)
☑️LEARN to put yourself before all others (yes mammas, us too! We take care of the kids better this way!)
☑️REMEMBER that not everyone will like you (You don't like everyone else either)
☑️EAT more protein to help create more healthy cells to fight off those pesky free radicals.

I'm sure you've heard about live bacteria in foods like yogurt and sauerkraut. Eat up! Adding good strains through simple foods can not only help with inflammation and put up an actual barrier against bad bacteria, there's more !
Gut bacteria and vitamins synthesize🤯 This is huge! Without a healthy amount of good and bad bacteria floating around, your body won't even get the full benefit of the vitamins you're taking (if any or from foods), let alone trying to figure out how to use those fats properly! As adults trying to keep up with all the things related with a healthy lifestyle, let's look at some simple steps we can take to get our sleep, hormones, and moods under control with getting some natural sunlight during the day!

When you wake up in the am, skip checking your phone asap 🙌 Open your blinds and let the sunlight through instead, soak it up! This will allow your body to start suppressing (melatonin) secretion. When this happens, you will be more alert during the day and your body will start to learn how and when to use this sleep inducing hormone at night!

When you your body LEARNS to fall asleep and stay asleep well, magical things can happen 🦄 Mood swings decrease, hormone stabilization occurs, more energy of course, sugary food cravings chill out, and you start to spread the word of your lifestyle change 😉

It's a touchy subject, but someone needs to talk about it. If you are prone to miscarriages after conception, or even having hard time conceiving in general, let's talk thyroid... I've been here too ladies.
Get your body right before hand, I can't stress this enough!!

Some simple basic helpers to go in your “health journey package” for wanting a baby or even just to heal yourself 🙌

Add B vitamins 🥩
Cut processed carbs! You don't need them 🧁
Iodine is absolutely necessary for proper thyroid function 🧂
Magnesium is a good one _ healthy cells healthy body 🥬 🥜
More antioxidants, the better 🍌 🥦
Get those healthy fats in 🍣

Food is always best, but sometimes we just need a teeny help with supplements. Then it's time to talk about adding a couple workouts weekly and keeping our stress to a minimum. Sounds easy enough right?

This isn't just for the ladies! Marriage is coming later on in life these days, that only means, so are babies! We wait for our "ducks to be in a row" before starting the journey of birthing children. Many don't find a problem with fertility until their mid 30's!
Here's the thing, studies are showing that we're missing our "fertility zone".. Rightfully so! Get your life in order first, but make sure that you're keeping your reproductive system young by keeping a balanced diet, handling your stress in better ways, and exercising regularly the years prior of pregnancy, during pregnancy and after!

Just a heads up!
Typically, when you get a blood test 🩸 they do check your thyroid, but the Dr. will only do a basic blood draw unless you ask otherwise! Yes, they will check your Thyroid Stimulating Hormone levels, but we need to see all of your thyroid ranges here. When you get your results, bring them to me and I'll find out what your nutrition should look like in order to get those hormones in check from the inside out with foods, possibly some supplements and what your workouts should look like as well 🙌, then it’s up to you to do the work 😉

If the numbers on your blood test are showing that you're prediabetic, or close to, then start treating yourself as you are INDEED a diabetic. The quicker you get control of this the better! Insulin resistance can cause an array of problems when trying to conceive, including irregular ovulation. Also keep in mind that that insulin resistance may turn into type 2 diabetes, PCOS, and thyroid complications.
Kickstart your health journey with a couple simple steps! Walking for lipase work, eating the proper carbs that your body will utilize as fuel, EAT MORE PROTEIN and start going to bed early enough to create some more amazing somatotropin!

If you're one of many who just can't seem to get pregnant when you want to and you're just absolutely ready for this next chapter in your life, there are some things to consider. First of all, have patience, your body is a lot smarter than you think! Chances are, "fight or flight" mode is kicking in and it's telling you that your body isn't ready for a reason!

For starters -> Let’s get ourselves healthy first!

1: 🍊🥦 Add more antioxidants to your diet to help lower oxidative stress, even supplement if needed!

2: 🛌 Get PLENTY of sleep for a healthy circadian rhythm, baby will appreciate this later on as well!

3: 🥩 Eat more protein to help heal cells and create new ones!

4: 💪 Start a workout program that fits your busy lifestyle, that way you can continue this journey through your pregnancy and hop back to it when you are ready!

Of course, there may be an underlying issue, but more often than not, you just need to get your ducks in a row with your consistency of overall health yourself before bringing a new life into the world!

I, myself, struggled with this for years. Hopping on the scale every morning to see my "progress" or my "damage".
If this is you, STOP IMMEDIATELY❗️
Not only can this aid in body dysmorphia, giving you false hope for unrealistic goals, and make you feel really bad about yourself for not weighing what you did in high school, but the numbers aren't real. They do nothing for us, but cause judgement to ourselves! Get HEALTHY, STRONG, BE KIND TO YOURSELF and most importantly, STOP COMPARING YOURSELF TO OTHERS! If fat loss happens to be your main concern, lets check in on that once a month, or even every 6 weeks. Take measurements, if you're doing your part. Pinch tests even! NOT with only your body weight. The scale will show water intake, your menstrual cycle, even your stressful night of sleeping. Crazy huh?

I actually hear this a lot from friends or random conversations. 🤔 The "I'm cutting carbs!!" Here's the thing, many people think of carbs as bread 🥖 and pasta 🍝, overlooking fruits and veggies! Not only are fruits 🍓 and veggies 🥦 going to get you to your "carb" goal for the day, but the overwhelming number of micronutrients and antioxidants you're going to get from adding more to your diet will change your life and health forever! There's a time and place for pasta, breads, rice, potatoes, for sure!! Just not as your number one source throughout the day 🙌
