This month, Woodland Village, Brighton’s Trinity Health Senior Community, received a grant in the amount of $2000.00 from the Livingston County Consortium on Aging to provide a filtered water bottle refilling station for Independent and Assisted Living residents, employees, and visitors.

In their application for funding, Woodland Village shared with the Consortium that: “Hydration is critical to senior health, yet many residents struggle with consistent fluid intake. Access to fresh, filtered water in a convenient location can reduce the risk of dehydration, urinary tract infections, and other health concerns common among older adults. This station also promotes sustainability by reducing single-use plastic bottles and supports residents who may have mobility issues, making water easier to access without the need for staff assistance. By installing this water refilling station, Woodland Village will provide a practical, lasting improvement that enhances health, independence, and overall quality of life for Livingston County seniors.”

On behalf of our residents, colleagues, and the entire Woodland Village community, thank you, Livingston County Consortium on Aging!

Today we had the joy of celebrating Chaplain Cindie and her upcoming retirement 💕🎂

Our residents wanted to do something special to honor her, and they worked so hard to put together this beautiful framed puzzle as a heartfelt gift. She was also presented with a Blessings Jar filled with notes of love and gratitude, a journey bracelet for blessing and protection, along with a special ornament reminding us that it truly takes a Village. Each gift reflected the deep appreciation our community has for Cindie and the compassion she has shared with us over the years.

Of course, no celebration would be complete without cake as we gathered to honor a life of service, faith, and dedication.

Chaplain Cindie, you will be deeply missed, and we are so thankful for the lasting impact you’ve made on our residents, families, and team. Wishing you all the best in this next chapter! 💐
