EnviroLife would like to formally welcome our two newest employees: Kayla Boesing and Shannon Sharp. Kayla, a resident of the Riverbend her whole life, graduate and mother of two, is currently serving in the position of Office Manager. Shannon, a combat war veteran, father and uniquely knowledgeable in both asbestos and water intrusion, serves as our field technician. EnviroLife would like to welcome these two, and we look forward to growing our small business to the next level with these stellar employees, who have already brought so much talent and experience to our little consulting firm.

A big thank you to Post Commons in Alton, IL for hosting us during our first round of interviews…EVER! We are looking forward to hiring our first full-time employee, and we were so proud to invite all of our interviewees to this beautiful establishment. In between meetings we got to enjoy some of the yummy food and drinks, and we highly recommend it, if not just for just the food! But more than that the staff was so friendly and helpful, the atmosphere couldn’t have been more open and inviting, and we were so pleased we could easily carry on a conversation despite the bustle. Thanks again Post Commons for an awesome day that the office!!!

HELP WANTED!!! EnviroLife Consulting is looking for an Environmental Field Technician. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with flexibility in scheduling which requires outdoor work in all weather conditions and office-related work done autonomously. Responsibilities will include conducting inspections and assessments, recording field notes, tabulating and preparing data, drafting quality reports, collecting bulk/surface/air samples, working independently, and performing other tasks as needed. EnviroLife requires the potential candidate have a driver’s license in good standing and a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. They must also be able to start work within 30 days from job offer acceptance. Prior work experience demonstrating the ability to perform many aspects of the job, such as sampling, inspection, regulatory compliance and/or construction work will be taken into consideration when selecting candidates. Related college degrees and current environmental certifications are preferred but not required. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel as well as be able to troubleshoot basic computer issues. Employment benefits are negotiable upon completion of a probationary period. With all of this rain, don't forget to take a look in your basement (or crawl space), especially if you don't go down there much. Also pay attention to drainage around your house...sometimes you can't tell you have problems until it rains this much. Let us know if you find any problems. We can help! It's what we do.

With the big thaw upon us, check your water pipes, especially in exterior walls, basements, and crawl spaces. I've never heard of so may pipe breaks caused by the latest deep freeze. Call us! We are here to help!

Our Story

Nate and Jen started EnviroLife Consulting LLC in 2011, after Nate spent nearly 10 years managing environmental inspection and remediation projects for Safety Partners Ltd. in Godfrey, IL, including a couple of years along side Jen. Nate graduated from SIUE with a Bachelors of Science in Biological Sciences in 2001, and Jen will complete her Masters of Arts in Counseling this year (2018). Raised in Alton and married in 2009, Nate and Jen have a son, Parker, who just turned 3. They aspire growing their business and providing critical services to their community by improving environmental (and mental) health.
