Story time + a little vulnerable post 🤍

This is my daughter, Zoey. 🫶

She is my little ball of stress. I can already tell she’s going to be a perfectionist. She’s incredibly socially aware and puts so much pressure on herself. And as a 4 year old, that’s a lot for a little developing brain to carry.

It started showing up in tears & breakdowns over simple day to day things. Big emotions over little moments. I know you might be thinking, “That’s common at this age.” And yeah, some of it is. But from my background in child development, I knew her stress was something more.

This girl had wayyyy too big of worries for only being four. Family would say, “Poor girl is always so stressed.” And as someone who struggles with anxiety myself… it hit me hard. It hurt my mom heart. 💔 I know that feeling. The tight chest from being overwhelmed… the invisible pressure you put on yourself that no one else even sees.

While we’ve been working on calming her nervous system and teaching regulation, I knew we would both benefit from something supportive. That’s when we worked with a handful of specialists to develop No Worries.

It’s amazing how connected smell is to the brain. Aromatherapy communicates directly with the emotional center. What seems small can actually shift so much.
Now we use No Worries as part of our morning routine. Before school. Before a new gymnastics class. Before anything that feels “big” to her.

And the best part? She now asks for it when she feels anxious. It hasn’t “fixed” everything. That’s not the goal. She’s still learning. We’re still learning. But it’s helped take the edge off & it’s helped settle my mom heart too. ❤️

I know the pressure she puts on herself will make her great one day. She doesn’t quit. But more than anything, I hope she learns to give herself grace.

When your toddler asks for his daily “shot” like it’s happy hour 😂

We got this email from his grandma and I had to share.

She said Dollar General sells tiny red solo shot cups… and now every time they go, Waylon puts a bag in the cart because he needs one for his “juice.” 🥹

I love this. I might have to grab some mini solo cups for my own kiddos too.

Let’s talk elderberry misconceptions. 🤯

You may have heard someone say that elderberry can overstimulate your immune system.

Or that it could push it into “overdrive.”

That’s not actually how elderberry works.

A few years ago there was a lot of fear and confusion around immune overreactions and cytokine storms. And somewhere along the way, elderberry got lumped into that conversation.

But elderberry isn’t an immune stimulant.

It’s better described as an immune regulator.

That simply means it supports a healthy, balanced immune response.

Not forcing it to work harder.
Not pushing it into overdrive.
Just supporting it to function the way it was designed to.

There’s a big difference between “boosting” your immune system and supporting balance.

And that difference matters.
