The National Alliance on Mental Illness of Livingston County, Michigan is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to the support of individuals recovering from mental illness, and their friends and families. Membership is open to professionals, the general public, and anyone affected by these neurobiological disorders. Through advocacy we also strive to STOMP OUT STIGMA created by lack of knowledge. NAMI of Livingston County is affiliated with the National Alliance on Mental Illness and with NAMI Michigan.

Coming Soon!
NAMI Peer to Peer is a free eight-session educational program for adults with mental health conditions who are looking to better understand themselves and their recovery. The course provides an opportunity for mutual support and growth and the chance to experience compassion and understanding from people who relate to your experiences. This is a place to learn more about recovery in an accepting environment.
Classes start Tuesday, April 15th, 2025 and meet 8 consecutive weeks through June 3rd, 2025 from 6 PM - 8 PM. Classes will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Brighton. The NAMI Family Support group will meet this Thursday, March 27th from 7-9 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Brighton, 400 E. Grand River Ave., Brighton. Please park in the large lot behind the church and come in the lower level door nearest the kiddie playground. A NAMI sign will point the way. Once inside, go to your right to the end of the hall to room 127.

NEW GROUP!! The all new Parents Together Support Group will meet ONLINE this Thursday, March 27th from 7-9 p.m. This group is a family support group that focuses on parents who live in support of their children (ages 12 - 18) experiencing mental health issues including but not limited to mood disorders, ADHD, autism, self-harm, depression, and suicidality. Please register for this week's session by contacting us.

Connection Support Group is a free, peer-led support group for any adult who has experienced symptoms of a mental health condition. Please reach out if you are interested ☀️

Our NAMI Connection and Family Support groups meet this Thursday, November 7 at 7pm.

The Connection Support group will meet via ZOOM from 7-8:30 p.m this Thursday. Emily is leading your group, so please contact her by noon on Thursday if you wish to attend. namioflivingston@gmail.com

The Family Support group will also meet this Thursday, 7-9 p.m. at the Brighton First Methodist Church, 400 E. Grand River Ave., Brighton. Please park in the large lot behind the church and come in the lower level door nearest the kiddie playground. A NAMI sign will point the way. Once inside, go to your right to the end of the hall to room 127.

Looking ahead, please note that NAMI Livingston’s remaining November and December Family Support Groups and Connection Group meeting dates are modified due to the upcoming holidays. We will still meet on Thursdays at the same times: Connection Group will run 7-8:30 and Family Support Group will run 7-9 as usual. The new dates are as follows:

Nov - 7th and 21st
Dec - 5th and 19th

We will return to our regular schedule of second and fourth Thursdays in January 2025.

We will still meet on Thursdays at the same times: Connection Group will run 7-8:30 and Family Support Group will run 7-9 as usual. The new dates are as follows:
