New Light Counseling

New Light Counseling New Light Counseling is a private mental health practice with an emphasis on the faith community. All individuals are welcome no matter their faith.

I have been practicing in the field of mental health since 1984 and have worked in a variety of settings over that time. Addictions, Disabled students, and now the elderly. During that time I have also worked with a wide range of mental health issues: Depression, anxiety, parenting and marriage. I have a particular interest in pre-marital counseling which I believe every couple should have before they get married. No matter if it is your first time or your fourth time. (Definitely if it's your fourth time.) Parenting is also another area of great interest. I have taught many parenting programs over the years. The best and the simplest has been Smart Discipline. Usually within 3 sessions I can teach any parent how to bring balance and harmony into their home without yelling and screaming. I have worked with individuals from all different types of faith backgrounds and those who profess no faith.
