🧠🧘‍♀️ How Your Physical and Mental Health are Linked

Another informative article by Katie Pescatello , RN, FNP-C, where she shares some powerful insights on how taking care of your body helps your mind, and vice versa. Because when one suffers, the other often does too.

Read Katie’s article here: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/z0rkh5505danx5bxrluwy/PMBH-8-Physical-and-Mental-Health.pdf?rlkey=v72dq35jadqq3zauqb398ayze&st=bj9iries&dl=0

Here are a few key take-aways:
• Research shows that poor mental health increases the risk of chronic physical conditions like heart disease or diabetes.

• And the reverse is true, people with long-term physical health issues are significantly more likely to develop anxiety or depression.

• Simple steps like moving your body, getting enough sleep, eating well, and building social supports can improve both mental and physical health.

At Peaceful Mind, we believe wellness includes whole-person health, caring for mind, body and spirit alike. Whether you’re seeing one of our therapists, working with our medical team, or just tuning in to your own wellness habits, every piece matters.
