🤩Happy National Activity Professionals Week 2026!! Here at Silver Creek, our Activities team has roots that run deep!

Nancy Lowney and Troy Mandeville both spent many years in our Activities Department before taking their talents to lead departments at other facilities. In December 2024, Troy returned home as Activities Director and immediately revitalized the department with fresh energy and creativity. He brought Nancy back as an aide (clearly overqualified!), and she jumped right in as if she never left.

When Troy transitioned into another role with Silver Creek in Dec 2025, it was only fitting that Nancy was promoted to Activities Director. Under her leadership, the department continues to flourish—and most importantly, our residents are having an absolute blast!

The department is supported by 4 WONDERFUL Aides: Colleen (7+ years!), Kayla (3 years!), Trudy and Jaylynn. Thank you to the whole team for your dedication, passion, and the joy you bring to Silver Creek every day!🥳💙💛

🎅🎄 Santa and his elf paid a special visit to Silver Creek! Our residents had a wonderful time opening gifts from our incredible staff and the generous donations we were so grateful to receive.

Following a heartfelt reading of “The Night Before Christmas” by our lovely resident Steven, everyone enjoyed delicious homemade cookies and rocked the night away to live music!

We hope everyone had a Christmas and holiday season as joyful and memorable as ours! ✨

Holiday celebrations so far have included ugly sweaters, cookie swaps, a gingerbread house decorating competition, and more!

Last week, we celebrated our wonderful Physical Therapist, the latest CECA Award winner—and an obvious choice! Thank you for everything you do for our residents!

"Maryann Bishop -She is Compassionate Kind-hearted, Warm-hearted, Gentle, Loving, Nurturing, and our friend. Everyone loves her, She will literally walk side by side with her patients from the time they come thru the Silver Creek front doors till the time they walk out to their car after discharge. It is an honor to work with her!"

Sports Day was a success! Last week we treated our residents to a delicious pre-Thanksgiving luncheon featuring stuffed chicken, rice pilaf, candy-glazed carrots, and a red velvet cookie for dessert. Huge thanks to the dedicated staff who brought this celebration to life! 🦃💛

We were honored with the chance to salute our veterans with our neighbors and friends at Dawn Hill yesterday. Our resident veterans were in attendance along with some of our leadership team. A great event! ❤️🤍💙

🎃 Halloween Success at Silver Creek! 👻
Our residents had a spooktacular time judging both a pumpkin painting contest and a costume contest, followed by some delicious “dirt cups” and a timely viewing of the Halloween classic Hocus Pocus! 🪄🍫

What a fun way to celebrate the season together! 💜🧡🖤
