Week 6 of of the American House challenge was tea-riffic!! In August, members of our Leadership Team volunteered at the MLB baseball game held at the Bristol Motor Speedway. We raised $2,025 for the Alzheimer’s Association of Tennessee.

Thanks to AARP and Life Enrichment Director, Erika, Atlanta Braves superfan and American House Bristol resident Faye, experienced a Wish of a Lifetime! Not only had this lifelong fan never been to a game, Faye's first Braves game was a historic one—it was the first time a Major League baseball game was played in Tennessee, the state that Faye calls home ⚾

In honor of National Lemonade Day, residents loved the "Lemonade Lounge" theme 🍋 As you can imagine, from raspberry to blackberry and everything in between, there were many unique spins on the fan-favorite! Well, maybe not THAT Turner, but very special nonetheless 🥰 Not only does Mrs Turner have a remarkable memory when it comes to dates and names, she has - wait for it - 78 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren! And, yes, she knows all of their names 😉

Tracey Kendall Wilson from Alzheimer’s Tennessee will be the guest speaker and has a wealth of information and experience in the field. A light meal will be served. Last Wednesday was National Gorgeous Grandma Day, so AL & MC enjoyed a mini spa day. These gorgeous women enjoyed hand massages, manicures, relaxing cold packs, and makeup. The cucumber eye pads were a big hit!

If you didn’t get a chance to come to our Family Night, you missed a great time! We had a packed house as we highlighted the 1964 World’s Fair in New York where the Ford Mustang was launched. ❤️ 🏁 🚗

We took a “pit stop” for some NY style pizza and cheesecake. Then, we ended the night with karaoke from our one and only bus driver, Stacy (and friends). We even have some other employees take the microphone for a “spin.” Be sure to join us next month!
