Let’s get outside!
My kids had the best time making these and it helped us log hours to ! This is our third year doing the first year we didn’t make it, last year we logged over 1000! What I love about it, is that there is really no failing, because you’re getting outside more than you probably would have even if it doesn’t add up to 1000.

1. Go on a nature walk and forage some items from the woods or the road! We grabbed berries from a tree, baby pine cones, pine needles, some leaves and twigs. Aurora also found some red paper which she was insistent on adding and it turned hers pink!
2. Fill small aluminum pie plates with water about half way.
3. Gently place items in.
4. Cut a piece of string and loop it and place at the top.
4. Place outside to freeze! Once frozen pop out and hang up.
*I am sure you could use a tray around the house or a silicone muffin dish for some mini ones!
Are you doing 1000 hours outside?
