If you have an emergency during or after hours, please CALL and leave a detailed message. If I don’t return your call quickly, please call again and send a text that says emergency. A call from the same number a second time tells me to stop what I’m doing and check your message. An emergency is a condition that must be attended today. A text message alone is not a reliable way to reach me quickly, especially on the weekends as there are many, and I try not to look at them.
Emergency services are only available to current clients, those for whom I’ve done an exam on a patient within the preceding year. If I have examined your horse within the preceding year, I have committed to attending to your emergencies and WILL be there for you unless I’ve made arrangements with another veterinarian.

Hi guys! I will be out of town July 8-14. The wonderful doctors of Mountain Empire Large Animal 423-282-6194 have once again agreed to cover emergencies for me while I am away. I will have my phone, as always, and will be available to return calls and messages for a time each afternoon. If your appointment can be done this week or wait until I return, please get in touch! Check your horses’ medications, coggins date, etc and let me know if you need anything this week. Thank you for your continued support!

Hello my lovely clients! I appreciate all of your questions, and encourage you to ask them. However, I have been increasingly inundated with after hours and weekend non-emergency messages. I ask you to please refrain from texting your questions outside of business hours. I am on call for emergencies 24/7/365, and always have my phone with me. I hope to enjoy this career for years to come, but that will require down time for me to remain healthy. If you fear you will forget to ask your question later, email is ok any time as I do not receive notifications there. Thanks so much for your continued support and vigilant care of your equines. ❤️

Thanks to all of my wonderful clients for an excellent year with Great Valley Equine! I’m out doing what I love every day, and you and your horses, donkeys, and mules make that possible.
Also, happy Birthday to all those TBs out there. Leon, here, is currently the only TB at our farm. He is my sister and cousin’s retired eventer.
My resolution is to have a growing and learning 2022. How about you?
