What do you envision for yourself when you’re 80 years old?

Me? I want to be hiking when I’m 80! 🤩
To be chronologically 80 but biologically 60. 🤩

It doesn’t happen by chance.
It takes effort, intention.
Consistent habits that continually pour into that 80yo we want to be … now, while we’re young, whatever age we’re at.

When was the last time you gave yourself permission to focus on YOU?

I was honored to speak at Yorkville’s Business Women Connect yesterday on the theme of self-care. My title was Nourish Yourself: A conversation on nurturing ourselves with love and attention… because just like children and plants, our own bodies and souls need love and attention too. 💜

The women yesterday had many great ideas for self-care for physical health, relationships, thought life and emotional health.

🦃HEALTHY(ISH) HOLIDAY TIPS🥧
Sometimes the holiday season feels like 6 weeks of indulgence, but this year it's only 5 weeks. Even if you have 6–8 parties or big meals, that still leaves 25 or more days to stay on track.

One meal doesn’t define your habits. What you do most of the time does.

Here are some simple tips to your health habits in focus in the midst of holiday meals.

💦Keep hydrated, especially if you'll be drinking a glass of wine.
🏃‍♀️Keep moving. It helps the body process all that extra food and blood sugar.
🥑Preload your day with fresh, simple meals and colorful foods.
🥤Drink a Complete protein smoothie or two.

Repeat the next day. Most people find that gentle recovery works better than restriction this time of year.
