🌍💙 Celebrating Earth Day through play and purpose! 💚🌍

Our learners explored Earth Day with hands-on activities that supported fine motor skills, sensory play, and imagination! From creating a handprint Earth and cleaning up “trash,” to planting flowers, saving animals, and pretend outdoor play. 🌱🐾 Through meaningful play, we practiced caring for our planet while building important skills along the way.

Play is where the magic begins ✨

💬🤝 Play-based therapy creates a natural, low-pressure environment where children can connect, explore, and grow. By meeting children where they are and joining in what they love, we create meaningful opportunities to build trust while supporting individualized goals.

Through play, children can learn to:
• Take turns and share • Build back-and-forth communication • Practice problem-solving • Explore emotions and social cues • Strengthen relationships with peers and adults

Last month, we brought this approach to life as we celebrated Reading Across America in our clinic. 📚✨ Our learners participated in engaging, Dr. Seuss–themed activities, including a spirit week where they dressed up each day inspired by the author’s different books. From silly rhymes to hands-on fun like playing in gooey oobleck, each experience was thoughtfully designed to support communication, skill acquisition, and meaningful social interaction.

At Phillips ABA Therapy, we believe learning should be fun. Because some of the most meaningful growth happens through play.

Springtime fun is in full bloom at Phillips ABA Therapy! 🌷🐰

We celebrated Easter at our clinic with a day full of laughter, learning, and bright colors!

💚 An Easter egg hunt gave clients opportunities to practice tacting, manding, and spatial awareness skills by “seeking” colorful eggs.

🪺 Playing in sensory bins brought hands-on exploration to life with exposure to different textures and tangibles.

🖍️ Clients crafted bunnies using paper bags, targeting fine motor skill development and functional use of art supplies.

And of course, everyone showed up in their festive best! We hope everyone had a bright and cheerful Easter Sunday! 🐣💛

🧩 Autism Awareness Month is a time to promote understanding, acceptance, and meaningful support for individuals on the autism spectrum and their families. At Phillips ABA Therapy, we celebrate this month, and every month, by honoring each child’s unique strengths, abilities, and potential.

🎄 Getting in the Holiday Spirit at Phillips ABA Therapy! 🎄
Our little learners have had the best time celebrating all things Christmas this season! From cozy PJ days and candy canes to practicing important skills through play, this week was full of joy, learning, and holiday magic.
🌲We even had a surprise visit from Mr. Grinch himself, made “cold” cocoa topped with marshmallows, created keepsakes for our loved ones, shared new toys, and practiced opening gifts and sharing with friends.
🚂We wrapped up the week with a Polar Express–themed day in our pjs. 🚂✨
