Meet Dr. Furrow 🌟

She is a general & vascular surgery superstar and comes to us by way of University of Virginia School of Medicine. She is also a U.S. Air Force veteran who performed hundreds of surgeries during her time in Afghanistan. Her lived experience makes her an extremely skilled, dedicated caregiver and we are very lucky to have her on our team.

Skin Cancer Awareness Month is a time for us to speak up about the dangers of skin cancer, share the facts and help save lives. It is America’s most common cancer, but it is also one of the most preventable. Here are some ways that you can protect yourself and your loved ones from the risks of skin cancer:

🌤️ Stay out of the sun as much as possible between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m
🕶️ Cover up with long sleeves, long pants or a long skirt, a hat, and sunglasses
💛 Use sunscreen with SPF 15 or higher
🍊 Don't use indoor tanning machines
🔍 Check your skin for changes regularly
