I started my career as a massage therapist in 2003. I served thousands of people in California before deciding to get an advanced degree in athletic training/ sports medicine (2013). I have worked with all ages of people from the 6 year old soccer player to the retiring industrial worker. The years of massage therapy helped me t
o excel in my education and practices as an athletic trainer. Massage has been an essential part of my athletic training career, allowing me to keep my skills sharp. Likewise, my education and experience as an athletic trainer and ergonomic expert has made me a better massage therapist. My expertise in anatomy, body mechanics, injury assessment and treatment, therapeutic rehabilitation, and specialty techniques gives me more insight for a customized treatment, specific to your needs, and an excellent therapeutic massage. It is such a blessing for me to be able to provide others with healing care. Therapeutic massage can change the way you live. Pain from injury, genetic conditions, illness, or "user error", does not have to determine how you live your life. What if the massage I provide you can give you back a full nights sleep, or keep you playing with the kiddos? What if you can get on your bike for that weekend trip out of town that you have not done in years? What if I can get you back to work after that bad slip on the ice? While I cannot promise healing of anyone, I can tell you that with the scope of techniques I have to choose from and the experience to know when to use them; it is a promise of hope. Stay at home parents, student athletes, weekend warriors, office junkies, gym rats, executives, and everyone in-between, I've got your back! I specialize in neck work, headaches, jaw pain/tightness. I am excellent at reading tissue and communicating release of restrictions, adhesions, trigger points, and taut muscles. I often say, "I see better with my fingers than I do with my eyes." My extensive anatomy education lets me detail muscle groups instead of using a broad approach to massage. Knowledge of healing process, injury mechanisms, and rehabilitation allows me to further your knowledge of what is happening and why. I love helping people understand their condition by using layman explanations and visual examples to support the explanation. When you understand what and why you are feeling pain, then steps to healing come easier.
