St. Croix Hospice of Iowa visited us today. They served up some ice cream sundae’s while they talked about how to become a volunteer for the hospice program. Thank you to Alanna and Katie for reaching out to us.

Barb is just one of many who enjoy doing puzzles. However, this puzzle was made of small wooden pieces. Barb persevered and transformed those little pieces into a beautiful Sunflower.

What a great time we had together celebrating Mother’s Day. Everyone shared their own stories about being a mother and how special those days were with their children. We also discussed how times have changed. Afterwards we enjoyed some refreshments. Arlene was the big winner of the guessing game. Thank you to all the Mothers for all your dedication, love and support.

The tenants were excited to see the new Summit House van. Now we can take the fun on the road! Lots of adventures await us!

National Bubble Day brought us a lot of facts, memories, and fun. We read some fun facts about bubbles, then tried our hand at blowing bubbles in more ways than one, using liquid bubbles and bubble gum. Of course, we had to have a little bubbly and cheese to celebrate the day. This activity had a lot of laughs and brought back a lot of memories of the good old days.
