Today’s the day! Earth Day in Motion!! A free health and wellness event for you and the planet. Between 8am and 11am, come by Lyons Township High School – South Campus Field House for free workouts from Just Lift Fitness, visit vendors like Go Green La Grange for recycling tips and join me at 9:30 for a a community gratitude/prayer ceremony called a “Despacho” Participants will place their intentions of gratitude, prosperity, health and joy for themselves, their community and the Earth in offerings like beans, rice, flour, leaves and flowers. The Despacho is built as each person places their offering onto a piece of parchment paper. When complete, the Despacho holds all of the participants’ energy, prayers and intentions. When we come together as a community our combined energy and prayers are a powerful change agent.
