We congratulate Ginny (our Exec Director) on celebrating her 32nd cancerversary on March 18, 2026!! When she was diagnosed in 1994, survival was 12-18 mo. With no family history of cancer, she didn't know about and thought all breast cancer had a lump. Since that time she has dedicated her time and talents to making sure people know about and works to help people advocate for themselves when faced with a cancer diagnosis.

Do you know if you have dense breast tissue? Having dense breasts means it's harder to find abnormalities like cancer on a mammogram. It's hard to pick up on a mammogram anyway, so if you add dense tissue, it's even harder. Talk to your Dr. about additional screening and visit My Density Matters for more information.
