This HUGE draft got a HUGE fix!
Draft horses are big and heavy horses… that require a strong base!
A couple nipper runs and a lot of rasping later, the before and after on these is a huge improvement!

We get the opportunity to work on some really cool horses, including a couple here!
First Jeb Hunt CJF shows how we use “Black Repair” from Mustad Hoofcare on a hoof that had gotten broken up and needed a little protection! We love this product to keep horses from catching or pulling shoes when the hoof is slightly compromised.
Lee Olsen CJF TE broke down an interesting case where we have over time worked on keeping this horse sound after surgery on a torn deep flexor tendon.
This is an injury we see in performance horses that can have a grim outcome on a career, but Lee breaks down how we took our time to get this mare right!
On her recovery journey she is back to full contact, which revealed an issue she was having in the stop with “spreading”.
A case like this is a prime example of why open communication with your farrier is crucial! By communicating, we can change small things with big results to keep your horse performing at their highest potential!

WOW!
This transformation was crazy!!

This horse was rescued, then it was revealed to have contracted tetanus, which in most cases is a death sentence, unfortunately.
But with lots of time in dark isolation, and extensive vet care, he made a miraculous recovery!
This horse was granted a second chance at life, we just made his path on his recovery road a little more comfortable!
The before and after is amazing! We’re glad we could help get this guy headed in the right direction!

👉🏼 RIM PADS - Do they work or not? 👈🏼

There’s always going to be an exception to the rules when it comes to horses! We found this horse breaks the mold and performs well and stays more comfortable in a leather rim pad paired with our go to St. Croix Eventer!
