👩‍🎨 We finished off Artistic Expression Week with Art Shows to celebrate our resident artists. Each participant shared their inspiration and process for their featured piece, and received a certificate for their hard work.

🎨 Today marks the beginning of our Artistic Expression Week here at Lakeside!

To celebrate, here are some photos of our resident artists with their recent artwork. From foil-painting, to collage, to paper crafts - our residents have been busy exploring all avenues of artistic pursuit!

You're never too old to try new things!

Our residents never pass up a chance to try something new, and this past week it was tattoos. During our Tattoo Booth, residents here at Lakeside tried out some new ink. Although the designs were temporary, the memories will live on forever!

🧁 We've been busy this week here at Lakeside! 🤩

We made some paper disco balls, played pool noodle hockey, and baked lots of cupcakes. Next week we move to Back to School week!

This week was Simple Pleasures week here at Lakeside. We celebrated all of the little things that bring us joy… from rainbows, to smelly sachets, to baking strawberry shortcake… we sure stayed busy this week!

Next week we hop into Movie Magic week to end the month of August!

August 17th is National Black Cat Day! 🖤🐾

To celebrate we enjoyed visiting with our own furry friend, Mando. He brought lots of smiles, warmth, and love to everyone!

We ended our Summer Camp week with a trip outside to Tie-Dye!!

Our residents enjoyed creating their own designs on t-shirts and bags with the help of our activities staff.

What a fun afternoon! We took to the outdoors again yesterday for some water games. Residents enjoyed throwing water balloons at our activities staff and playing with some water toys.

We can’t wait to get out again next month for more fun!!
