Connors and Pharmacy Manager Steven Brien on the 15th hole at Thorny Lea Golf Club. They also enjoyed golfing with Patrick Hardy and Rick from Benchmark Senior Living in Norwood. Great time had by all!

What an amazing ESP meeting this morning at the Bridges by EPOCH at Westwood! We finally met in person for the first time in two years and gathered on the amazing roof-top terrace where a breakfast with all the fixings awaited. The topic “Power of Pet Therapy” left everyone in awe. When both the presenter from Faith and Family Hospice, bringing in a miniature therapy pig, and the owner of Golden Opportunities, a company training Golden Retrievers to be support animals, came down with Covid last minute, Pete Bruce came to the rescue and brought in Matt, the owner of Harvard Alpaca Ranch and special guest Summer Rain, an alpaca in training. Hearing about the impact animals can have on pain management as well as emotional well-being and fostering social connection was profound. Meeting Summer Rain and being able to interact made everyone’s day. Check out this cutie:

We are excited to Celebrate Brianna Barnes as our Apothecare Pharmacy, LLC Employee of the Month! Brianna has been a key individual in supporting our team and patients as we transitioned to a new courier company. She helped train the team on the software and troubleshoot system issues as they arose, all of this while doing her primary job as Supervisor of the Call Team Center. Thanks Brianna for all your help.

For this month’s Employee Appreciation event at Apothecare Pharmacy in Brockton, everyone “got their mojo on”. Management provided amazing cupcakes from MOJO in Weymouth. What a delicious treat and such a sweet way of thanking staff for everything they do around the clock to ensure our customers get their medications and supplies on time.

This month’s Employee Appreciation Event at Apothecare Pharmacy was held on Friday March 4, which is National Employee Appreciation Day. Staff was treated to an amazing Italian buffet with Chicken Piccata, Pasta and home-made sauce, Meatballs, Chicken-Parmigiana, Rolls and of course salad.
Our very own COO, Brian Franks, handed out Apothecare shirts and sweatshirts to everyone.

This past week was very exciting at Apothecare. Melissa Hunt, Pharmacy Technician in our Hospice Department, hit a major milestone. She celebrated 20 years with Apothecare Pharmacy! During a special luncheon, catered by Mia Ragazza in Abington at Melissa’s request, she was awarded the beautiful trophy pictured below. In addition, she was honored as the Employee of the Month.
As her manager, the Assistant Director of Pharmacy Operations, Steven Brien, put it: “I have yet to meet a customer that does not sing her praises and I cannot think of a better person to be working in our hospice department.”
