An estimated 250,000 MA residents will lose health care coverage if Congress passes the proposed cuts to Medicaid. BNHC recently held a graduation ceremony for its staff members who completed training under several grants which promoted career path training and support.

The Medical Assisting grant (through EOHHS) is a workforce development pipeline program. This provides a career pathway for BNHC employees to a career in Medical Assisting. Didactic training with Career Step, an online, self-paced training platform. The program includes a stipend, career planning meetings, hands-on skills lab, externship at BNHC

The Dental Assisting grant (through MLCHC) is also a workforce development pipeline program. Didactic training with Career Step, stipend, career planning meetings, externship at BNHC, assistance with obtaining Radiology Certification and DA license.

Medical Office Management and IT graduates were part of the Career Pathways grant (MLCHC) - didactic training with career step

Billing and Coding and Phlebotomy Tech were staff who used their educational reimbursement funds to pay for training with Career Step.

Employees were also able to use their BNHC Education benefit to take the courses and open new doors to their desired career paths.

We applaud their success and can't wait to see what the future holds for all of them!

🌈 Happy Pride Month from the Brockton Neighborhood Health Center!
This June, we honor the resilience, diversity, and strength of the LGBTQIA+ community. As a health center, we are committed to providing inclusive care that recognizes and supports every individual's identity.
Pride is not only a celebration but also a reminder of the ongoing fight for equality and access to healthcare for all. We stand with our LGBTQ+ patients, staff, and community members today and every day.
Let's continue to work together to create a world where everyone can live authentically and receive the compassionate care they deserve.

Take a peek at one of our new spaces! BNHC's Manley St. Clinic at the new Father Bill's & MainSpring Housing Resource Center will open for patient care starting Monday, June 9! Located at 124 Manley St, the clinic primarily serves residents of the shelter and FBMS housing, as well as other community members experiencing homelessness. 📢 Support Health Center Funding!
Each year, Congress must approve discretionary funding for Community Health Centers, which makes up 30% of all health centers’ federal funding. We need YOUR help!

We are asking every U.S. Representative to sign a letter to the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies. This letter calls for robust discretionary funding for Community Health Centers in the upcoming fiscal year. The appropriations letter is crucial to NACHC’s strategy for securing funding as health centers continue to operate with uncertainty about securing long-term mandatory funding.

👉 Ask your U.S. Representative to sign a letter urging robust funding for Community Health Centers in the upcoming fiscal year. The deadline is coming soon!
