Yesterday, Stairway to Recovery was honored to host a resource table at the High Point Treatment Center Annual BIPOC Mental Health Month event that was held at the Brockton High School. STR would like to thank you for allowing us to attend and bring the awareness of the resources STR & Gandara Center can offer the recovery community of Brockton & surrounding areas.

Today is the third Thursday of the month, so that means FREE wellness haircuts will be offered to the active participating members! Victor from Double Edge Barbershop will be in the center providing free wellness haircuts from 9am to 2pm today. If you are interested in receiving a free wellness haircut, please stop by STR today to speak with one of our Peer leaders or Staff.

🛥️🐋 Whale Watching with Our Recovery Family 🐋🛥️

This past Friday, our members took a truly unforgettable field trip to Hyannis, where we joined forces with our fellow Gandara Center Peer Recovery Support Centers PIER Recovery Center of Cape Cod, Plymouth Recovery Center, Falmouth Recovery Center, for an incredible whale watching adventure out on the Atlantic Ocean! 🌊

From the moment we set sail, the day was filled with smiles, laughter, and a deep sense of connection to each other, to our community, and to the breathtaking beauty of the ocean around us. Seeing these majestic creatures up close was nothing short of awe-inspiring, and reminded us all of the wonder, and serenity that nature offers.

We’re so grateful for the chance to share this experience with our recovery family and look forward to making this an annual tradition for our members. Days like this remind us how powerful connection, joy, and nature can be on the journey of healing and growth. 💙🌊

A.R.E.A.S w/MOAR takes place every week on Wednesday's from 12PM to 1:30PM and is also available via Zoom for FREE. If you would like to get active within the recovery community or learn more about how MOAR can help you on your recovery journey, please, stop by STR and we will happily support you!
