In honor of women’s month we honor Sharlene Paul, the CEO/Founder of Mocha Wellness Center-a one stop shop for all your Wellness needs. Sharlene is a Certified Yoga Instructor (Open Doors, 200 hrs), and a Licensed Massage Therapist (Spa Tech Institute, 650 hrs). She has a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology with a Minor in Social Work from Bridgewater State University (2012), and has worked for the Massachusetts Dept of Corrections for 13 years. When she’s not teaching Yoga Sculpt at Crunch Fitness gym, or servicing her Massage Clients at her shop, Sharlene spends her time constantly learning and evolving her craft within the Health & Wellness industry as evidenced by the addition of many other certifications (Stretch Therapy, Lymphatic Massage, Trauma Informed Yoga, Medical Massage, Body Contouring etc), conferences, partnerships and more!

Today’s Coffee ☕️ Chat for LMTs meetup was everything and more! Completely disproving the idea that you need a room full of people to have a “successful” event ⁣
⁣
Here we have 2 strangers that met with the intention to just commune with other LMTs and just talk about the profession that we love: Massage Therapy. We did just that-EASE-FULLY for 2 hours straight! I’d say that’s pretty dang successful! ⁣
⁣
Coming from different backgrounds, drastically different amount of years of experience in the field, operating out of different towns/cities, we somehow managed to learn so much from each other and now I even have a new (local) Massage place to check out! ⁣

I’m sharing these images with you all, some of which have been with me since day one, as a reminder that your dreams are VALID they CAN come true and you just gotta stay the course! ⁣

I don’t know when the day will come that a place such as so will be actualized, but guaranteed I will keep manifesting it, planting seeds, harvesting, working, and praying over it until it does. ⁣

Sometimes the dream, the image, the vision seems to only exist in your mind so the journey can get weary and there are times you have doubts or feel like giving up-but then seeing it actualized in physical form/digital form-just based off of a few details?! Is SOOOO affirming.⁣

Attention my South Shore MA LMTS: Join us in person for a Coffee Chat hosted by yours truly 💁🏾‍♀️

This event is a way for all who attend to get together and just talk about what we know best: Massage Therapy!

Often times this profession can be very isolating. Within a solo practice, most of the time it’s just you and your client and if they came in for relaxation purposes, then you usually spend the whole session not even talking to them!

I personally try to keep myself involved in trainings/conferences etc with other LMTS for this reason-to stay connected to others!

As a Volunteer for my local AMTA chapter on the Membership committee we want to engage our membership, but we also care and want to hear from the larger Massage Therapist network in general. AMTA is the only organization actually advocating for the advancement of the Massage Therapy profession at large and it benefits all LMTS whether you are a member or not.
