You are not too far gone for God to find you.

You are not too lost for Him to search.

You are not too broken for Him to carry home.

The Shepherd doesn't write off the wandering sheep. He doesn't count losses and move on. He leaves the ninety-nine safe sheep and goes searching - through the darkness, through the thorns, through the dangerous places - until He finds the one who is lost.

That one is worth everything to Him.

You are that one.

No matter how far you've wandered into anxiety, depression, addiction, or despair - He's searching for you. And when He finds you, He doesn't shame you. He doesn't lecture you. He gently lifts you, carries you close to His heart, and brings you home rejoicing.

You are not forgotten. You are pursued by Love Himself.

'Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn't he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home.' ~ Luke 15:4-6

God specializes in restoration.

He took a murderer and made him the great deliverer (Moses).
He took an adulterer and made him a man after His own heart (David).
He took a denier and made him the rock of the church (Peter).
He took a persecutor and made him the greatest missionary (Paul).

Your past doesn't disqualify you.
Your mistakes don't define you.
Your struggles don't limit what God can do.

He is the God of the second chance, the fresh start, the new beginning. The God who makes all things new.

And He's not done with you yet.

'And I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten...' ~ Joel 2:25

'Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?' - Isaiah 43:18-19

Throughout Scripture, Jesus devoted His ministry to healing:

The woman who touched His robe after 12 years of suffering
The paralyzed man whose friends wouldn't give up
The blind man who couldn't see hope anymore
The woman caught in shame who needed freedom
The man with demons who needed deliverance

Jesus didn't just heal bodies - He restored dignity, renewed hope, and gave people their lives back.

That same healing ministry continues today. Not always in the way we expect, not always instantly, but God is still in the business of making broken things whole.

Sometimes He heals through prayer. Sometimes through medicine. Sometimes through counseling. Often through all three working together.

Before you were anxious, you were loved.
Before you were depressed, you were chosen.
Before you struggled, you were called.
Before you felt broken, you were made whole in Him.

Your mental health struggles don't change your identity as God's beloved child. Your worst day doesn't diminish your worth in His eyes. Your diagnosis doesn't define you - His love does.

You are:
✨ Fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14)
✨ The apple of His eye (Zechariah 2:8)
✨ Never forsaken (Hebrews 13:5)
✨ Held in His hand (John 10:28-29)
✨ Worth dying for (Romans 5:8)

Sometimes the most powerful thing the church can offer isn't a Bible verse or a quick prayer - it's presence.

Job's friends sat with him in silence for seven days before they spoke. Jesus wept with Mary and Martha before He raised Lazarus. The Good Samaritan didn't just pray for the wounded man - he bandaged his wounds and carried him to safety.

This is the heart of Christian counseling: showing up. Sitting with someone in their pain. Walking alongside them through the valley. Not rushing to fix, but faithfully accompanying.

Let's address something the church doesn't talk about enough:
• Having faith doesn't mean you won't struggle with mental health.
• Praying more doesn't always cure depression.
• Reading your Bible doesn't magically eliminate anxiety.

Some of the most faithful people in Scripture struggled:
• Elijah experienced such deep depression he wanted to die
• David wrestled with despair and darkness
• Jeremiah lamented constantly
• Hannah wept in anguish
• Paul dealt with a persistent "thorn in the flesh"

Faith and mental health struggles can coexist. In fact, sometimes our struggles drive us deeper into dependence on God.

You don't have to choose between faith and counseling. God often works through skilled counselors and healthy practices.

'A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.' ~ Proverbs 17:22

God cares about your whole health - including your mental health. Seeking help honors the life He gave you. 🌳💚

God doesn't turn away from broken people - He moves toward them.

When everyone else sees your struggle as weakness, He sees your need for His strength.
When others grow weary of your pain, He draws closer still.
When you feel too messy for church, too broken for grace - that's exactly when He wraps you in His love.

Jesus didn't come for the people who had it all together. He came for the hurting, the lost, the overwhelmed, the burdened.

He came for you.

Christian counseling isn't about fixing yourself before you come to God. It's about encountering God in the midst of your brokenness and allowing Him to bring healing to every wounded place.

'The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.' ~ Psalm 34:18

'He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.' ~ Psalm 147:3

You don't have to clean yourself up first. Come as you are. He's waiting. 💙

When you've lost hope, He holds it for you.

You don't have to live in that prison anymore. The prison of:

• 'I'm not enough'
• 'It's all my fault'
• 'I'll never change'
• 'No one would understand'
• 'This is just who I am'

These are lies. And lies lose their power the moment you speak truth over them.

You are enough - exactly as you are.
You are not defined by your worst moments.
You have the capacity to grow and heal.
You are not alone in your struggle.
You can become who you were created to be.

Freedom isn't found in having a perfect life. Freedom is found in having the courage to face your life honestly, with support, with hope, and with the God who loves you beyond measure.

'So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.' ~ John 8:36
