🌟 July Staff Spotlight: Meet Ryan! 🌟

We're thrilled to shine the light on Ryan, our July Staff Spotlight at Sunshine ABA! After earning his degree in Psychology, Ryan jumped into the world of ABA following his time as a Direct Support Professional in community services. He made the switch because he finds this work incredibly rewarding—especially watching our amazing kids learn, grow, and achieve new milestones every day! 😊

A few fun facts about Ryan: He's an incredibly talented artist who loves to draw in his free time. When he's not here brightening our days, you'll find him catching the latest movies, hanging out with his furry besties (his dogs!), or hitting the road to catch epic metal and rock concerts. 🎨🎥🐶🤘

Ryan earned this spotlight because he's simply wonderful with the kids—his compassion and genuine care make him a perfect fit for our Sunshine family. Plus, the little ones are over the moon that he can sketch basically ANY character they dream up! We're so grateful to have him on the team and can't wait to see all the magic he continues to create. 💖

🌟 Staff Spotlight: Meet Shanice! 🌟

"I got into ABA during my undergrad when I needed an internship to graduate. I found a company hiring RBTs, so I took the 40-hour training, got registered, and dove right in. Working with the kids was such a rewarding experience, and I ended up falling in love with it. Fast forward to now after 3 years—I'm back in school pursuing my Master's in ABA, excited to continue growing in the field and making a positive impact!

A few fun facts about me: I play basketball three days a week at my gym, and I'm usually the only girl there! I also love cycling with my friends on the weekends, and I'm a big fan of sports. Whether it’s the NBA, NFL, baseball, or tennis—you name it, I love watching it!" - Shanice

Meet Austin, one of our incredible Lead RBTs!

After seeking a career change, Austin discovered Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and has been thriving as an RBT for 3 years. He loves making a daily difference in kids' lives and celebrating their unique personalities. Austin finds working in ABA truly special because he’s surrounded by passionate colleagues, unlike any workplace he’s experienced before. We’re thrilled to feature Austin in May’s Staff Spotlight! His knack for building strong client relationships and tackling the endless tasks of a Lead RBT makes him a vital part of our team.

Big shoutout to Amelia for being featured in April’s Staff Spotlight! She’s been an amazing Registered Behavior Technician for three years, a journey that started when an undergrad professor sparked her passion for helping kids with autism spectrum disorder and nudged her toward an RBT role at our company.

Amelia absolutely loves what she does, and it shows! Just this past December, she earned her master’s in forensic science (with a psychology focus) from Oklahoma State University, and now she’s back at OSU working on a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling.

Hailing from San Diego, CA, she’s a cooking show fan and Lego-building pro in her spare time. Amelia’s growth, her huge heart for the kids, and her reliability make her so special. She’s always ready to step up and help out—truly a rockstar on our team.

Congrats, Amelia, you deserve this spotlight!

🌞 Exciting News from The Sunshine Academy! 🌞

Starting this January, we’re thrilled to launch our new After School ABA Therapy Program! 🌈 This special program, designed for children ages 6 and up, will run Monday through Friday from 3:15 PM to 5:15 PM, offering a supportive and engaging environment where kids can continue to learn and grow.

We are currently seeking top notch BCBAs to join our team!

At The Sunshine Academy, our dedicated staff includes 21 skilled RBTs, several BCBA students, a clinical office manager, lead RBTs, a business office manager, and a robust back-office support team—all focused on empowering our BCBAs with the tools and resources they need to excel.

Our commitment is to provide exceptional and compassionate ABA therapy. Our facilities are designed with safety and security as a priority, featuring magnet door locks and a cutting-edge video surveillance system with over 50 cameras to ensure thorough supervision of our RBTs. Our owner, an Electrical Engineer, also develops custom software to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
