We are saddened to share that former Broken Arrow Mayor Craig Thurmond passed away at his home on August 7, 2025, at the age of 71.

Craig Thurmond served on the Broken Arrow City Council for two decades, including his time as the mayor. During his time, he worked tirelessly to guide our city's growth and enhance the quality of life for everyone who called Broken Arrow home. His dedication and impact will remain a lasting part of Broken Arrow's history. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family during this difficult time.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service to honor his life and legacy will be held on August 13, at LifeChurch, located at 2420 E Kenosha, Broken Arrow, OK 74014 at 10 a.m.

We have 2 absolutely sweet dogs that are roaming around here at Birch and Freeport area...
They are very thirsty and hungry. We have put out a big bowl of water and another neighbor has food out for them but WE WOULD LOVE TO FIND THIER OWNERS!!!

The Supporting and Improving Rural EMS Needs Law



Please ask your lawmakers in the Senate and House to share their support with the Senate and House Appropriations Committees to reauthorize and fund the Siren Act at $20 million for FY2023 to provide much needed grants and resources to already strained EMS agencies working to provide life-saving medical care to the patients in their communities.

Senate Bill - 3910 - EMS Staffing and Support Act



This bill will support funding for Personnel, Recruiting and retention of volunteer EMS personnel, Training, EMS Courses, Equipment, Supplies, Vehicles, Wellness, Facilities, and Establishing Community Paramedicine. This Act could make major changes in patient outcomes with patients across the state.

Fuel Price Spike

Fuel Prices are predicted to spike in the next 24 hours. It’s projected that diesel could be over $6 in the morning in Oklahoma. No one has the budget to absorb that kind of increase.



There are a couple of groups working on trying to get a subsidy from the government per licensed agency for a fuel reimbursement.
