Our residents took a trip through history with a visit to the Broken Arrow Military History Museum. From vintage uniforms to powerful stories of service and sacrifice, the experience was both moving and memorable.

For some, it's a walk down memory lane, for others, it's an eye-opening journey into the courage and commitment of those who served.

Ms. Ruby's husband had donated some items to the museum, and we were able to reconnect her with a little piece of James. The pewter figurines were well-loved by her husband, and it was such a beautiful moment to experience when the museum took some of them down and let her hold them again.

A big shoutout to two wonderful ladies, Gail and Linda, who took time out of their day to help fill our bird feeders here at the community. Their kindness keeps our courtyard full of chirping, cheerful visitors and brings so much joy to our residents who love watching the birds.

Meet Mrs. Pat! She is well known around here for her basket weaving! This week, we highlighted her in our Resident Spotlight. Most of her baskets are on display around her apartment, but we brought them all out to show off her skills. She learned to weave, and over the course of 20 years, she made so many baskets she couldn't even count them all if she tried. Thank you so much for sharing your passion with us. After we checked out all of her baskets, we tried our own hand at weaving ourselves! We think they turned out great!

Laughter echoed through the halls during our latest round of "Dirty Laundry". Residents took turns pulling surprise items from a bag when the music stopped and putting them on.

From funky glasses, hats, neck ties, butterfly wings, f***y packs, aprons and skirts, the outfits were as wild as they were wonderful!

The best part? The joy, the silliness and the big smiles that made the whole room light up. Sometimes a little surprise and a lot of laughter is the best kind of medicine.

It was a joy to see everyone sharing moments from their lives, flipping through old pictures and turning them into a beautiful keepsake.
