Merry Lee Willingham

In the heart of Anadarko, under Oklahoma's sky, Merry Lee Willingham was born, never shy. A life that began on April's sweet 22nd day, of nineteen fifty, she joined the play.

She journeyed through life with a radiant smile. Educated and caring, she went the extra mile. From Anadarko High to the University of Science and Art of Oklahoma, her Bachelor of Arts she did proudly display. A teacher of English, she inspired young minds, for the three years she taught, leaving no child behind.

But the call of the caring led her heart to roam, to nursing she ventured, making Hillcrest Medical Center her home. At Hillcrest, she nursed, with skill and with grace, twenty-five years at a loyal pace. Merry's passion for healing, her compassionate shift, in the lives of the ailing, she was a gift.

But life is not all work, there's fun to be had, Merry's interests were many, they made her heart glad. She found joy in connections, in the web's vast expanse, gaming and trivia, she gave both a chance. Her trivia game thrived, a line out the door, challengers eager, always wanting more.

From Pentatonix, The Gaither’s, and even the Bee Gees, band, music was her beat and with sister Linda at concerts, life was so sweet. A savior to pets, to 'Abby Too' she was dear, a heart full of love, for all creatures here. Rocky Kanaka's mission she did ardently back, a voice for the voiceless, the homeless, and hungry, to shelter the pets.

Her love for the blue, like the sky so vast, Disney animations that forever will last. Flavored water was her sip of delight, and Linda's baked goods, oh what a sight! Eggs and toast to start her day right, or Spaghetti by Linda, a dinner, her favorite at night.

In Aspen Park Baptist, her faith stood tall, with God, and her bible, she answered the call. Merry's life, a tapestry of love and care, adventurous, creative, beyond compare. Passionate in all, she lived with zest, in every endeavor, she gave her best.

On the twenty fifth day in February twenty-twenty-five, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Merry's spirit took her flight. Her sister Linda Lou Willingham remains to hold the light, with cousins Pauletta Stowe, Sam Hyden and Debbie, Lynn Dudley, and Bob so dear, Glenn Collier, Randy Hyden and Lenore, Scott Collier, and Montetta Crumper always near, close to heart, they keep her spirit bright.

Before her, family passed, and left an empty space, her parents, Joe and June Willingham, who first showed her life's grace. Sisters, Georgie Collier, Geraldine Hyden, and the Collier brothers three, Bobby, James, and Jack, now above the stars they are free. Her niece, Seamone Crumper, and great nephew, Ronnie Dudley too, all left the stage earlier, when their time came to shine.

Her legacy is one of love and life, a testament to joy. Farewell, Merry Lee, your journey's complete, and in the heavens above, your loved ones you will meet. Your story lives on in the lives you have touched, in a world that thanks you, ever so much.

A memorial service celebrating Merry’s life will be hosted by Aspen Park Baptist Church, 4400 S. Aspen Ave, Broken Arrow, OK 74011, 918-455-2100 at 1:00PM on Monday, March 17, 2025.

Elizabeth Ann Brasuell

Elizabeth Ann Brasuell, born on April 18th, 1935, in the heart of Coffeyville, KS, was called to glory on February 13th, 2025, at the age of 89 years.

Elizabeth's journey began as a bright-eyed girl in Coffeyville, KS where she honed her musical talents on the drum and bugle team, first in high school and then in junior college. Her thirst for knowledge and her passion for nurturing young minds led her to Pittsburgh State University, where she furthered her education with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, and prepared for a life of teaching.

The Lord works in mysterious ways, and it was through His divine intervention that Elizabeth met her beloved Rollo. While working at a YMCA summer camp in Estes Park, Colorado, Elizabeth's life was forever changed when Rollo, a handsome Air Force officer, arrived on a blind date. With a bold gesture of affection, Elizabeth claimed Rollo's arm, and thus began a love story that would span nearly seven decades. Through letters exchanged across oceans and the countless adventures of military life, their love blossomed, rooted in the shared soil of faith and family.

Elizabeth walked the path of an educator with grace, first teaching in the various schools her children attended while moving with her husband, Rollo, and the Air Force. After her own children were grown, she transitioned to the oil and gas industry, yet her heart remained with the young ones, leading her back to the classroom as a cherished reading tutor.

Together, Elizabeth and Rollo raised a family that stands as a testament to their love and devotion. Elizabeth is survived by her loving husband, Rollo Brasuell, daughter, Wendi Fisher and husband Bob, sons, Doug Brasuell and wife Carole, and John Brasuell and wife Deana. Their legacy continues to shine through their grandchildren: Christy Zentheofer, Meghan Wagner and husband Brady, Brooke Muly and husband Drew, Jenna, Jordan, and Sydney Brasuell. And the joy of their great-grandchildren, Travis Lee, Alice, Addie, Kate Zentheofer, Zeke, Titus, Jack Wagner, Birdie, and Baker Muly, will forever remind us of the love that Elizabeth and Rollo shared. Elizabeth is also survived by siblings, Patricia Jackson, Hank Pfohl, Vicky Baird and husband John.

Elizabeth now joins her beloved mother Ethel Pfohl, her sisters Koreen Price and Doreen Orr, and brother Martin Pfohl, who preceded her in death, in the glorious presence of our Lord.

Those who knew Elizabeth were blessed by her loving nature, her kind spirit, and her unwavering faith. She was a woman of God, a guiding light whose presence could transform a room with warmth and whose laughter could lift the heaviest of hearts. Elizabeth's children remember her as the embodiment of God's love on earth, an angel in their midst who made every day brighter and every challenge surmountable.

Church and family were the cornerstones of Elizabeth's life, and as Rollo served our country, they found a spiritual home in every new place they were stationed. They delighted in the simple pleasures of life, cheering on their children at baseball fields, dancing and cheer routines.

As we bid farewell to Sister Elizabeth Ann Brasuell, let us carry forward the light she has left in our hearts. Let us honor her memory by living as she did, with love, kindness, and faith unshakable. She has now joined the heavenly choir and, no doubt, is playing the drum and bugle for the Lord Almighty. May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard our hearts and minds as we celebrate the life of Elizabeth Ann Brasuell. Amen.

A burial is scheduled for 10:00 AM, on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, OK. A Celebration of Life for Elizabeth will be held at 2:00 PM, on Friday, February 28, 2025, at First Baptist Church in Jenks, OK.

Memories and condolences may be shared online at www.brownfamilycares.com. The family has entrusted the care and services of Elizabeth to Brown Funeral Home & Cremations, 231 E. Commercial St., Broken Arrow, OK 74012, 918-251-5331.

Anglia Dewayne Martinez

Anglia Dewayne Martinez, born on December 2, 1979, in McAlester, Oklahoma, was a beacon of love and resilience, a soul who defied expectations and lived a life rich with emotional intelligence and joy. On January 31, 2025, Anglia passed away in Inola, Oklahoma, leaving behind a legacy of love and an unwavering spirit that touched the hearts of all who knew her.

From the moment Anglia entered the world, she was a fighter. Diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at just three months old, she faced a prognosis that predicted a lifespan of only 18 years. Yet, Anglia's will was indomitable; she surpassed all limitations with a stubborn determination that was as endearing as it was inspiring. She navigated life without the conventional milestones of walking or running but soared in her unique journey, developing a profound emotional intelligence that enabled her to connect deeply with those around her.

Anglia's family was the cornerstone of her life. She was cherished by her mother, Nichole Elaine Keele, and her stepfather, Jack Craig. She shared a bond of love and laughter with her brother, Andrew Joseph "AJ" Keele, and her sister, Andria Lynn Pierce. Her nieces, Angelina Marie Carson and Lexie Nichole Bullett, and her nephews, Kolby Matthew Pierce, Dylan Thomas Keele, Cayden Joseph Keele, and Angel Lee-Evan Jackson, all held a special place in her heart. Her aunt, Bethany Davis, and uncle Chris were also integral parts of her life. Although preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Dewayne Strickland, Anglia's memory will continue to be a guiding light for her family.

Anglia's life was not defined by a career or formal education, but rather by the rich experiences she shared with her loved ones and the community that embraced her. Her keen sense of the world was a testament to her ability to learn and grow beyond traditional paths. Her intelligence shone through her perfect hearing and remarkable memory, recognizing loved ones by the mere sound of their footsteps or the jingle of keys. Her interests were simple yet profound. Anglia's love for music was a central part of her existence, with songs like "Amazing Grace," "I'll Fly Away," and "Dancing In The Sky" resonating with her spirit. She found joy in playing BINGO and could light up a room with her humor and infectious laughter. Anglia's life was a symphony of emotions, and she embraced each note fully. She loved with her whole heart, never forgetting a face or a kind gesture. Her ability to perceive and relate to others' emotions was a gift that prepared her and those around her for the real world, fostering a sense of community and understanding that transcended verbal communication.

Loving, faith-filled, and spirited—these words encapsulate the essence of Anglia Dewayne Martinez. Her 45 years of life were a testament to the power of love and the human spirit. She reminded us that life is not measured by the steps we take but by the connections we make and the hearts we touch. Anglia was a chosen soul, blessed with a beautiful gift full of emotions that enriched the tapestry of life for all who were fortunate to know her.

As we celebrate the life of Anglia Dewayne Martinez, let us carry her spirit forward. Let her unwavering determination and boundless love inspire us to embrace our own challenges with grace and to love with our whole hearts. Anglia's legacy is a call to each of us to recognize the beauty in our unique paths and to cherish the emotional bonds that define our shared humanity. Her story is one of triumph, a reminder that every life has a purpose, and every soul has a song worth singing.

Logan Wayne Jones

Logan Wayne Jones parkoured on his grandest path yet, as he finished his course of life on December 19, 2024. Born on a sunny day in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on June 22, 1999, Logan hit the ground running and never looked back, unless it was to check if his hilarious antics got the crowd going—and they always did.

Logan leaves behind a troupe of loved ones: his mini-me and greatest source of pride, daughter London Elizabeth Brooke Jones, father Clint Wayne Jones, mother Ekko Marie Jones, sister, Lindsey Marie Jones, grandfather Kirkman Marcus Layne, uncle Tim McCrary, aunts, Amanda Reed and Kim McCrary, great aunt Carol Jo Gordon, nephew Jaxson James Jones, and cousins Emily McCrary and Shelly Ray Gordon. His special family friend Christina Griffin and best friend Joey Osborne also survive him, each holding a treasure trove of 'Logan stories' to keep his spirit alive. Those who preceded him in their journey include his brother Matthew Peyton Wayne Jones, his grandmothers Kathy Ann Birge and Rebecca Ellen Frederick, his uncle Wendell Bruce Gordon, and his great uncle David Lee Johnson.

From the halls of Keystone combined school through the 8th grade to the tracks of Mannford High School, Logan displayed a shelf of medals clinked with the weight of his running victories, each one a testament to his determination and fleet-footed prowess. Logan's early years were also spent darting around town, his skinny jeans and long hair a blur as he tackled the urban jungle with skateboard underfoot and parkour dreams in his heart. Logan became a welder by trade, a tinkerer by heart, and a master of all trades by sheer will. Cars, motorcycles, and anything with an engine bowed to his mechanical touch.

His artistic streak shone through in his detailed drawings, where he breathed life into animated characters, superheroes, and ninjas alike. Logan's fascination with origami was more than a pastime; it was a way of leaving a piece of his heart with his loved ones. Christina's collection of roses and London’s collection of stars, crafted by Logan are more than paper—they're reminders of the man who could fold a room into a beautiful sunset with just a wink and a smile.

Logan was a carefree spirit who always enjoyed being outside, riding his bike, driving mini cars, grillin food and chillin, singing and dancing, and listening to music with all his favorite people.

Logan considered his daughter London to be his greatest accomplishment. She was his sidekick, his pride and joy, and he loved her more than life itself.

His legacy is not just in the stories of humor he leaves behind, but in the laughter that continues to echo in the hearts of those who knew him.

A memorial service celebrating Logan’s life will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, February11, 2025, at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow.
