We are so thrilled to have this playhouse ready for the kids at Sunshine Center to enjoy on our outdoor playground, just in time for fall! It features this memorial plaque for our beloved Miss Kristen. Now her memory can shine on, as these kids she loved so much have so much fun out here. Oh how we miss her.❤️❤️❤️ ☀️ ☀️

Our “Sunshine” left us early this morning. Kristen, your presence will never leave our clinic. You left us a legacy to build on and a joy that will forever live in our hearts. We will not forget the impact you made not only on the kids and families you worked with, but on the staff here at Sunshine Center. Here is a GoFundMe update!

Kristen is suffering from two bacterial abscesses in her sigmoid colon. Surgery and/ or aspiration is not an option as it is two risky for her. Antibiotics have not been effective, so the only option now is for her to receive a White Blood cell transfusion to fight the infection.

Family and friends are now on the hunt for a donor. The process is not a simple one, and intense screening must be done to find the right donor. This involves potential donors traveling to and from Houston in order to be screened and to donate.

Therefore, we have increased the goal amount of Kristen’s GoFundMe to $15,000. I am so thankful to report we have nearly met our initial goal of $10,000! Thanks to all who contributed and to all who have been praying over the last several months.

Additional funds raised will go toward travel and lodging expenses for potential donors as well as additional housing and living expenses for the Harrisses as we see them having to stay in Houston for Kristen’s treatment much longer than originally anticipated.
