No Deficit -

Today's Scripture: “You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.” Genesis 50:20, NLT

Today's Word: for thirteen years it seemed as though Joseph’s life would end in a deep deficit. He was sold into slavery by brothers who should have loved him, falsely accused of a crime and put in prison by someone who should have trusted him, had a promise broken and was forgotten. Despite all these unfair things, and all the odds against him, Joseph suddenly went from prisoner to the prime minister of Egypt in a single day. God gave Joseph a payback and used it all to work out His plan for Joseph’s life.

You may be in a deficit now. Life hasn’t been fair, people left you out, a family member turned on you, the sickness set you back. You’re tempted to lose your passion, to give up on your dreams. But stay in peace and be your best, for your time is coming. God is about to do something unusual, something extraordinary. Suddenly you’re vindicated, suddenly you’re promoted, suddenly your crooked places are made straight. What is that? The power of the Most High settling your account.

Prayer for Today: “Father, thank You that what so often looks and feels like an unsolvable deficit is really part of Your plan that moves me to my purpose. Thank You that it’s going to lead me into a new level of my destiny that I could never experience without it. I believe You will settle all my accounts. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

The Power to Ignore.

Today's Scripture: But He answered him not one word, so that the governor marveled greatly. Matthew 27:14, NKJV

Today's Word: Jesus had many critics. Many people said hurtful, untrue things about Him. He could have straightened them out, spent time arguing, trying to change their minds. But even when facing false accusations at His trial before Pilate, the Scripture says, “He answered him not one word.” He didn’t give them the time of day. Don’t waste your time trying to change your critic’s mind. Don’t argue with small-minded people. What they think of you is not going to stop your destiny or keep you from your purpose. That negative chatter is the enemy trying to bait you into conflict and get you off course. You can’t stop what they’re saying, but you can ignore it and refuse to let it get down in your spirit. You don’t have to respond to the negative. A response gives that person credibility. Don’t validate what they’re saying by answering them. Do as Jesus did and ignore it. When you withstand the persecution, God will release a new level of blessing.

Prayer for Today: “Father, thank You that You are always greater than any difficulty I will ever face. Give me the wisdom to ignore anything that is just an insignificant insult or an argumentative distraction to get me off course. I believe that You are going to bring me to the next level. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

In the Fullness of Time.

Today’s Scripture: Galatians 4:4–5, NKJV - But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.

Today’s Word: Beyond the Christmas lights and presents, beyond the music and great food, God reminds us that in the fullness of time He gave us the most wonderful gift that has ever been given…this gift is Jesus. The apostle Paul was so overwhelmed at the thought of all that God has given us in His Son that instead of trying to put it all in words, he says, “Thank God for His Son—His Gift too wonderful for words.” Jesus is God’s perfect, indescribable gift. “God loved us so much that He gave His Son, Jesus, so that we can have eternal life.” Jesus, the babe in the manger. Jesus, the Savior of the world, who brought the promise of unconditional love, unending hope, and eternal life to every person who believes in Him.

And the amazing thing is that not only are we able to receive Jesus Christ into our hearts, but we are able to share Him with others every day of the year! This is what Christmas is all about.

Prayer for Today: Father, thank You for the perfect, indescribable gift of Your Son Jesus, who is too wonderful for words. Thank You for the gift of eternal life, the unending hope found in Him, and the unconditional love You have given me. I look forward to sharing this gift with others. In Jesus’ Name, Amen
