✨ Transformation Tuesday ✨

Check out this incredible smile transformation! This patient started with a narrow smile and upper canines that were blocked out of position. Using metal braces, we created space for both canines, widened the smile, and improved overall alignment. With the help of rubber bands to correct the bite, this smile was fully transformed in just 22 months!

Now, this patient can smile with confidence, and we couldn’t be happier with the results! 🎉👏

Braces & Surgery ✨ Swipe to see Makayla’s incredible transformation!

Makayla had full braces in the past, but her alignment and bite relapsed due to how her jaws developed. When the jaws don’t grow properly during puberty, sometimes jaw surgery is needed to fit the upper and lower teeth together for a healthy, long-term result.

In Makayla’s case:
✔️ Her upper jaw was too narrow, causing a crossbite in her back teeth.
✔️ Her lower jaw grew too far forward and downward, leading to an underbite (where her lower teeth sat in front of her upper teeth) and an open bite (where her front teeth didn’t touch at all).

To correct her bite and create a stable, functional smile, she had a combination of braces and jaw surgery—a life-changing transformation that will support her overall well-being for years to come!

(P.S. If you notice the discoloration in one of her upper teeth, it’s from a separate injury. She’ll be getting professional whitening soon!)
