In1903, Thomas Edison made this statement...that was over 120 years ago. Ask yourself, as a society, are we living up to that vision? Be honest.

If you ask me, my answer is no.

Today, we often wait for illness to strike before we act. We rely on quick fixes and medications to manage symptoms, rather than addressing the root causes of disease.

This reactive approach has led to rising rates of chronic conditions like heart disease, diabetes, and obesity — many of which are preventable through lifestyle changes.

Edison’s words remind us that prevention is the best medicine. To do so, we, the healthcare providers, need to become the doctors he envisioned — people who prioritize self-care and wellness before sickness happens.

When we take proactive steps toward wellness, we reduce our reliance on reactive treatments and improve our quality of life.

Let’s shift the focus from treating illness to building health. The future of healthcare starts with us. 💚
