Breathe In Motion Physical Therapy & Wellness

Breathe In Motion Physical Therapy & Wellness We’re changing the narrative of healthcare to a preventative approach. Are you in?
(1)

Different from traditional physical therapy, we take a whole body approach to get to the root cause of aches and pains before they stop you from doing the things you love.

Most gymnasts don’t need more flexibility🤸🏽‍♀️… they need more control.

If your ribs are flaring, your core isn’t doing its job and your low back ends up taking the hit every single rep🤕

Train the control. Keep the skill. Stay in it for the long game💪🏼

If you’re constantly modifying workouts, skipping movements, or pushing through pain, your body is telling you something isn’t working right.

At Breathe In Motion Physical Therapy, we help active women in Brookfield, Mequon, and Ozaukee County get back to full workouts with strength, not restrictions.

No more “just avoid it.”
No more guessing.

Just a clear plan back to training the way you actually want to.

Your jaw isn’t working alone.

TMJ pain is rarely just a jaw problem. It’s tied to how you breathe, how you hold tension, how your neck and core support you, and how your nervous system handles stress.

Clenching isn’t random. It’s your body adapting.

When we zoom out and treat the full system,
posture, thoracic mobility, core strength, stress regulation,
things start to change.

Less tension.
Better movement.
Real relief.

Stop chasing symptoms. Start understanding the system.

Your squat is not just about your legs🦵🏼. If you've been stuck at the same weight, it's a system problem🏋🏽‍♀️, NOT a strength problem.

🔵 Limited ankle mobility
🔵 Stiff hips
🔵 Poor core control
🔵 Lack of stability under load

Fix the pieces underneath the squat, and the numbers start to move🤩

Stronger isn’t just heavier. It’s more controlled, more efficient, and built to last.

Momentum can get you there. Control is what keeps you dancing. ✨

Watch Ella’s leg hold turn—she can hit the position with momentum. But when we slow it down and take momentum out, the real question shows up: can her core and hip actually own that position? 🤔

If a dancer can’t control it at 90°, the body starts to compensate. That’s where injuries build over time. ⚠️

This is why we train control, not just flexibility. 💪

Because hitting the shape isn’t the goal—holding it safely is. 🩰

If your skills feel strong but your body keeps breaking down, it’s time to look deeper. 🔍

Ankle sprains aren’t just “part of the sport”🤕They’re often a sign that stability, control, and strength aren’t where they need to be.

If the ankle can’t control landing and momentum… it will keep giving way.

Build stability. Train control. Keep them in the gym💪🏼, not stuck recovering🩼

Strong ankles change everything 🤸🏽‍♀️

Don’t squat at the same time”… sounds easy until it’s not 😂

Teamwork, timing, and a whole lot of laughter.

Who would win on your team? 👀

If you’re training for a marathon without a physical therapist… you’re doing it wrong. 🫣🏃‍♀️

Most runners wait until something hurts to get help. By then you’re already behind—modifying runs, skipping workouts, hoping it magically goes away before race day.

Marathon training isn’t just about mileage. It’s about:
running mechanics, strength where you actually need it, mobility that supports your stride, and a plan when something starts to feel “off”.

This is exactly why runners break down mid-cycle… and why so many people don’t make it to the start line healthy.

At Breathe In Motion Physical Therapy & Wellness, we don’t wait for injuries—we build runners who can actually handle the miles.

Gait analysis. Strength programming. Real plan of care.
So you don’t just finish your race… you feel strong doing it.

Train for the race in front of you.
And the 10 races after that.

Training for a marathon without a plan isn’t gritty… it’s risky.

If you’re stacking miles without understanding your body, you’re not “toughing it out” — you’re building your next injury.

At Breathe In Motion, we see it all the time:
Runners show up halfway through training with knee pain, shin splints, hip tightness… and suddenly the race is in jeopardy.

Here’s the truth:
Running more isn’t the answer.
Running smarter is.

A performance physical therapist helps you:
Dial in your stride and cadence
Build strength where runners are weakest (hips, core, foot/ankle)
Catch small issues before they become race-ending injuries
Train for longevity — not just one race

If you’re training for a marathon or half marathon in Brookfield, Mequon, Cedarburg, or Ozaukee County… don’t wait until something hurts to get help.

&&& We’ll be running & hanging out at the !

Run strong. Run smart. Run the long game.

Proof that we don’t just rehab it… we’ll try it too 🤸🏽‍♀️

The Mequon team took on a “who’s the better gymnast” challenge. Some of us are retired gymnasts, others gave it their first go right here.

Some skills went smoother than others, but that’s the fun of it😆. Movement is movement and we’re always up for the challenge 💪🏼

Pain doesn’t mean you have to stop running—it means your body needs a better plan. 🏃🏽‍♀️

At Breathe in Motion, we don’t just tell runners to rest and hope it goes away. We follow a 3-step process:
✨Calm the storm
✨Find the root cause
✨Build you back stronger

Because your goal isn’t just to be pain-free… it’s to keep running without it coming back.

If your body has been talking, it’s time to listen and fix what’s actually driving it.

She came in for back pain.
But her back wasn’t the whole story.

Stress. Sleep. Old injuries. Pelvic health. Constant tension.

All the things that quietly build—and start to show up as pain.

What felt “normal” was actually years of compensation.
We didn’t just chase symptoms.
We slowed things down, looked at the full picture, and addressed what was actually driving it.

Now she’s back at Burn Cedarburg () and Yoga One ()—moving, training, and feeling strong again.

If your pain feels like it keeps coming back… there’s usually more to the story.

Let’s find it. 💪
