It’s been quite a while since I updated this page. Since the last time I posted, my dad‘s cancer journey ended, but the quality of his life at the end was beautiful. His mindset had totally changed with the fact that he was dying. He was an atheist all his life, but at the end, he believed in God fully. He told me his mind had changed because he believed God sent all the people in his life to him when he needed help the most. He passed away December 5, 2022. I also worked with a friend whose husband was terminal. He did not want to talk to me, but I helped behind the scenes with the family. That happens sometimes when people cannot come to terms with the fact that they are dying, and they become very angry. At the end of his journey, he did except what was happening and was surrounded by everyone he loves. Then this last year my grandmother was put on hospice and I was my mother’s support system. I love the fact that I can help people understand death better. Death is never to be feared, but to be celebrated and prepared for. I love being a Death Doula.❤️

So i already know my new client. It’s funny how the universe works. When I worked as a waitress years ago, her and her sister would come into the diner I worked at on fish night. If we weren’t busy I’d sit with them and talk. It was an absolute joy whenever they were in. My client was so happy I was someone she knew.
So she has a rare stomach cancer that is slow spreading. She is receiving experimental treatments. There is no cure for this cancer at this time. She has already accepted she is dying and just wants to help someone else if she can.❤️

It’s been awhile since I posted. A lot going on. My dad is still at the end of his cancer journey but still hanging on. Yesterday I gained a new client for in-home care and sure enough, she has cancer. God and the universe are at work here once again. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Why is death beautiful?

Everything must have its end, or there is no beginning. Death is not the opposite of life, but the counterpart to birth. Death is beautiful because it represents change❤️
