Congratulations are in order for another DAISY award winner at Ascension Elmbrook: Lauren Bonofigilio, RN in our Surgical Stepdown Unit! 👏 💙

Lauren was recognized for her exceptional dedication in helping a patient afford a critical medication:

"On my discharge day, Lauren, a caring nurse, took it upon herself to research ways to save me money on my expensive vancomycin prescription. She found a savings card that reduced my cost from $525 to just $74, going above and beyond without being asked. Her thoughtful and attentive care truly touched me, showing compassion that goes beyond the typical nurse’s duties. Having retired from a long healthcare career, I can confidently say Ascension is lucky to have someone as dedicated and exceptional as Lauren."

Thank you, Lauren, for going above and beyond for our patients every day! 💞

Ascension Wisconsin has introduced a new Post‑Birth Alert Program to better protect mothers in the critical weeks after delivery.

Every new mom delivering at an Ascension hospital will receive an orange wristband to signal to medical teams this woman has delivered an infant recently and may need additional assessments or interventions when seeking care. This visible alert empowers caregivers to respond faster and prevent complications.

Together we’re putting life-saving support front and center for families across Wisconsin.
