Join us for a special screening of the award-winning documentary Organic Rising — a feature-length film that demystifies organic agriculture by contrasting chemical-intensive farming with organic systems and unpacking what the USDA Organic label really means.

Sometimes things don’t go to plan - and then you create a better plan. Have you had that happen?

It hasn’t been working well to record interviews on the floor as I had planned (SO loud even with good little mics!), but plan B will actually work out even better.

Spotted today — unexpected collab between and .beauty … and I have so many questions/thoughts!

I need to look up who Liquid Death’s ideal audience is because I would not have thought it was aligned directly with the face mask consumer…but I love to learn.

I was a little confused about this co-branding opportunity at first, but it’s well done. I give them big points for staying so on brand — from the shape of the package being a can to the mask naming, to the benefit noted as “death to dry skin” or whatever each mask type is meant to do.

Maybe it’s totally on brand because they do the unexpected? But will the right people buy? I am going to follow along and will let you know!

3rd image is a more expected line extension and 4th image is of the more standard lineup for reference. (Interestingly they were in different sections of the bev aisle…another interesting topic of decision trees! (Ie consumer thought process…am I looking for liquid death and decide flavor - or - am I looking for ice tea, then flavor, then brand, then size….for example).

I grew up going to my grandparents dairy farm (now 4th generation with my cousins) in Sherwood, WI.

Their house was filled with food, laughter, storytelling, games…but most of all I couldn’t wait to finish eating so I could go play with the barn cats — I loved animals and didn’t have any pets at home. 🐈

The older I get the more connected I feel to my farming roots even though I didn’t live on the farm. I’m so proud of them! This plaque hangs in my office to remind me of my family, why I do the work I do, and of where I want to go.

My dad made one of these for each of his 7 siblings and ALL of my cousins. So special to have something like this horseshoe that my great grandpa John Brantmeier used. 🍀

I’m leading a workshop for farmers through Farmers Rising re: branding their farm businesses next week and it’s a reminder why I love helping bring farm stories to life.

Whether it’s a new farmer or a farm that’s been in the family for generations, there is always an incredible and inspiring story to be told that can connect people to the real source of their food ☀️
