Celebrating Progress in Cardiac Rehab: Steve's Story
We’re proud to share the incredible journey of Steve, who just graduated from our cardiac rehab program with remarkable results.
When Steve began, he was placed on medical hold due to a hypertensive crisis, with resting blood pressures in the 175–190s/100–115 range. Today, his resting BPs average 110–120s/50–60s.
His progress didn’t stop there:
Functional capacity improved by 42%
Stamina and endurance increased by 16%
Self-reported activity level went up 25%
Emotional well-being improved by 3%
Heart-healthy eating habits increased by 5%
Steve started with a lifevest and an ejection fraction (EF) of 20%. He now no longer needs the vest, thanks to significant heart function improvement.
His main goal was to strengthen his heart, manage stress, improve nutrition, and quit smoking. He's now down from a pack a day to under half a pack per week.
At graduation, Steve shared how the program gave him a new outlook on life. We’re honored to be part of his journey.
Cardiac rehab saves lives. Steve is proof.
