TIPS FOR SUMMER FOOT CARE 😎

🏖️Wear breathable shoes made from materials like leather or mesh that allow air circulation and help prevent sweating and odor.

🏝️Avoid plastic or vinyl shoes that trap heat and moisture, which can lead to blisters and infections.

⛱️If wearing sandals, choose those with good arch support and secure straps.

🌅Consider moisture-wicking socks to help keep feet dry and prevent blisters.

🌞Protect Your Feet from the Sun:

😎Apply sunscreen with a high SPF to your feet, including the tops and bottoms, before going outside.

☀️Sunscreen helps prevent sunburn and premature aging of the skin on your feet.

💦DRINK WATER!!!

👣Hot weather can cause swelling in your feet and ankles, so staying hydrated is important.
Drink plenty of water throughout the day to maintain proper skin health and circulation.

🌊BE CAREFUL IN PUBLIC SPACES!

🦠Public pools, locker rooms, and showers are breeding grounds for fungi and bacteria.
Wear flip-flops or sandals in these areas to protect your feet from infections like athlete's foot and plantar warts.

The doctor was the patient today! I had a plantar fascial arterial embolization procedure today to treat a chronic tear in my plantar fascia that has caused me daily low grade pain for several years. It is a new state of the art procedure for chronic plantar fasciitis that is resistant to traditional treatments. I decided to be the guinea pig to see If it really works! I will report back on the results - it could take a few weeks to notice any difference. Wish me luck!
